Has anyone else noticed a marked increase in the black population in Loudoun County? Specifically in eastern Loudoun (Sterling and Ashburn)?

I find this worrisome only because I remember what happened to PG County in Maryland. Back in the early 80's PG County was a fairly nice place to live (believe it or not), sort of a poor man's Fairfax County. But when the black population from DC started to migrate there it slowly degenerated into the crime-ridden cesspool we know today.

And fuck you if you think this post is racist. Truth is truth.

They're getting pushed out of DC and these are the ones that can't afford Montgomery or Fairfax County and don't want to go to Prince George's county.

You're right, they don't. I completely agree with you.

And many of these black people are driving nice vehicles and shopping at Sams Club and Costco. They're not from the ghetto. But its not the adults I'm worried about, its their children. Black youth, even those from stable middle class backgrounds, still tend to act like ghetto thugs. Especially in large groups, its their "culture".

Just look at that SUV/motorcycle incident in New York that went viral last week. The motorcycle "gang" was primarily composed of younger black males. They all had relatively new motorcycles in good repair and many had smartphones and ipads. These were not poor people. But all it took was for someone to "disrespect" them and they acted like a pack of savages.

Again, this has nothing to do with skin color. Its a cultural problem. One that I DON'T want in Loudoun.

The black people out in this area are mostly educated and have professional jobs. It is quite different than PG county area. Not really a color thing for me but more socioeconomic. I would rather have a middle class black family than some white trash family. Which there are plenty of in western Loudoun.

While most blacks are not out every night shooting and killing people (usually each other) as in DC, Chicago and any other major city, I do believe they should be more vocal and outraged about that activity in their fellow blacks. If they criticized and tried to correct their own race,such as Bill Cosby, whites and all others would have a higher opinion of them. That is much the same view I have with Muslims.
However, if Dr. Purcell believes that a people of a certain race will behave differently simply because of county boundary lines,he or she is mistaken.
Yet I too would rather have a decent black family as a neighbor than a degenerate white.
Some people will say this is racist, and while it may be as defined by todays standards, it is also the truth.

I really like living in Loudoun county, but the eastern half is turning into a barrio and the western half is nothing but scary white dudes that were probably extras on the set of Deliverance. I mean once you get passed Ashburn the the white dudes turn orange and the t shirts and shoes seem to be optional accessories.

I grew up in PG County in the 70's and 80's and I do see some of the same thing happening now in Loudoun. Not only that but during the same time PG County also had some of the same old county versus new development issues that Loudoun has been going through.

But if the influx of these people concerns you now, just wait until the Metro is completed out to Ashburn. That will be like opening the front door to criminals.

Unfortunately is a losing battle. There isn't much that can be done about it.

I'm curious, what parts of Sterling Park do you consider objectionable? If possible, down to street level (i.e., intersections).

This isn't a troll/baiting question. I live in the area in question and really haven't experienced anything off-putting. I've been in/driven through barrios in a couple US cities as well as Mexico City, so our tolerance for off-putting experiences probably differ somewhat.

Still curious what areas of Sterling Park you'd rather not visit though.

The Sterling Park reputation is mostly built on past events. For a while it had the highest crime rate in Loudoun County. But since we're talking about Loudoun County that doesn't exactly make it Compton. I'd say its no more dangerous than Herndon, Reston, or Leesburg.

The areas around the Sterling Park shopping center (Safeway, CVS, etc.) used to have a lot of crime but that was severely reduced when they opened up the police sub-station down the street. Also the foreclosure epidemic a few years ago really helped the clean-up the neighborhood, as bad as that sounds it is true.

I'll admit that the apartments/townhouses around the shopping center DO look a little sketchy. But a lot of the cars are reasonably nice and there are always children playing outside. How bad can it possibly be?

I've seen people fighting around the high-up over by the big lots. A friend of mine that lives in Pembrook had his house broken into twice in the past year. That is what I was referring to. I don't feel completely unsafe in those areas, but I don't feel completely comfortable either.

We're starting to see this in the further out sections of PWC, too. A lot more blacks are relocating and that's where things start to turn sour. But, they're usually the first ones to have their homes foreclosed on too - from what I've witnessed.

I suspect some of their motive to move has to do with quite a few getting their government supplements for their regular income. SNAP cards are pretty popular. If you want to see a lot of them being used, just hit the Walmart. Nearly 45% of their grocery income is from the SNAP cards, or the equivalent in other states.

Its not just the black population, it's the whole area period that's changing. A lot of people from undesirable areas and backgrounds are moving into the area.

Perhaps that is due to the idea prevalent in the animal kingdom that "Those nearest to the feeding trough always get fed first." Soon all the trash from the bankrupt feeding troughs elsewhere in the country and the world will collectively get this idea and will migrate to the dc metro area (here, where there is still open land) to be nearest to the "Biggest free Feeding Trough in the world." (Just in time before the next elections take place, the timing has to be precise, so that the next administration can then be blamed for the resulting upheavals).

Soon NOVA will look like city areas in Ghana, where the productive classeswith homes live behind high walls topped with razor wire and have to employ estate security to keep out the "wily non-producer have-nots."

Dude,I don't think that NoVa Will turn into Detroit.Theres a Good and bad part in each Part of Nova.Plus I think That Brambelton/South Riding Area is safe....I haven't heard a Problem Around That area (other than aldie)But Brambelton/ South Riding area is probably the Safest area of Eastern Loudoun Co.

The property value in Loudoun..sterling..ashburn continues to increase. I don't think too many low income people of any race will be buying up property and turning it into PG. Get out of your house and stop watching fox news.

This is a very disturbing topic. The fact that it was posted is mare questionable. It's not about the blacks or about my race for that matter. Crime starts from broken homes. From the not spending time to teach and train the children. Our kids need help. In some cases the parents do too. Money is always a factor. The have and the have nots. Black homes haven been broken since slavery. Some blacks have no roots to be proud of. I think you're missing the point of the OP.

This isn't about "people of color" or immigrants. Loudoun County, especially eastern Loudoun, already has plenty of immigrants and non-whites (well ABOVE the nat'l average) and nobody cares. Its not a race issue its a crime/culture issue.

Its about Black AMERICAN families moving from ghetto neighborhoods in PG county and Woodbridge and bringing their crude morally-bankrupt culture with them. Specifically as stated above its the children that will be the problem, not their parents.

And you're bringing up school shootings like they're a regular, every day occurrence. You're more likely to be struck by lighting then die in a school shooting. We're talking about everyday common street crime. Assault, robberies, theft, drug dealing, etc. And when it comes to common street crime, nobody beats the negro.

I hate to agree with some of the more racist comments, but I just got some new neighbors in my complex. Why do they have to fulfill every stereotype associated with their race? Pit bull? Check. Loudoun has small negro population from the old slave days. St Louis on Rt 611 near Middleburg.

That's what happed to nice northwest DC above the Zoo when Metrorail opened its Van Ness Station and the University of the District of Columbia's new main campus was built/relocated there - it toally changed the area that had been upper middle class, embassies, and the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization all glass space ship type building. It became very dark and went downhill very fast after that.

African people are a different animal entirely. I have these black neighbors... I think they said they're from Nigerian. Holy shit are they nice people. If all blacks acted the way this family that lives down the street from me acted, I'd have no problem with blacks in the slightest.

They're a nice nuclear family unit. The father disciplines his children when they act silly. The mother takes the kids to class everyday. Nice folks.
