Things to do in Reston if you're single and under 30?

Hey all,
So I moved to Reston a month ago from NYC to work and have been in the office about 12hours every day so I have not had much of a chance to explore. Things are easing up now so I'd like to go out and have some fun - problem is, almost everywhere I have been and almost everyone I have met here are in at least their late 20's and mostly married.
I've gone to a few punk shows (DC, Winchester, Arlington) but I have not found anything like that Reston. I'd love some pointers! I am only 21 and I don't want to turn into one of those people who just leave the house to go to work - my life was quite different in NYC and I realize things here are not the same but damn! I like to get a few drinks in me when I go out and I since there is no real public transportation that corresponds with going outside of Reston, I am trying to find local diversions.
When I go to the stores in Reston, everyone who works there is like 30+, same with people who work at all the haircut places, etc. The delivery boys are 40 year old Cambodians. It's almost like children of the corn and everyone who turns 18 is killed off, then replacements aged 26 are shipped in from the north?
I love the area but I just want some pro-tips about places I can run into people my age, thanks!

You should check out the So Addictive Lounge in Herndon. I hear they are full of free spirited 20 somethings like yourself and that the crowd is thumping almost every night.

Sorry bud, you're shit out of luck in Reston specific. I mean if all you want is any old bar then you are good to go on that front (Reston Town Center alone), but as a 25 year old, it is all but impossible to meet new people (in my experience - been here my whole life AND i'm a female). I definitely will entertain your theory about the kill off/ship in. But, especially if you're mainly looking for people with similar interests (assuming punk shows are indeed an interest of yours), then you prob have to stick to DC for the most part. Try www.pheer.com for local show listings if that helps out at all.

Most of the people I know around here in their 20's are folks I grew up with. It can be difficult to meet new people here, but so far the best places I've found for that are the gym, and the dog park.

on citydata, move to Arlington is the standard pat answer they give to recent grads who inquire about reston, herndon, or vienna. reston town center is a potemkin urban village. there is nothing beyond the facade on market st.
