Grace Episcopal Alexandria Announces Plans to Violate Diocesan COVID Prevention Policies
Once again, the clowns at Grace Episcopal Alexandria, the clergy perjury parish, are showing their true colors.
Specifically, barring the unforeseen, the church resumes indoor services on February 28. This includes indoor coffee hour in the Merrow Hall auditorium; the installation of Anne Turner as rector and a reception, and the Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner.
In all of this, there’s just one little problem: diocesan policy expressly forbids indoor receptions, since they require unmasking. And given the great distances that COVID can travel to infect someone, this is a recipe for disaster.
Even worse, COVID vaccine efficacy declines to just 80 percent in preventing hospitalization among those aged 65 and over. Given the percentage of the parish that is over age 65, or is dealing with cancer or other serious health conditions, the church is showing damned little regard for its vulnerable members. Roll in the fact that transmission is still more than twice what is needed to qualify as high transmission under CDC guidelines, and the decision to hold in-person services is stupid and unethical.
