According to well-placed sources, Episcopal church attorney Jeffery Chiow is leading a VIP Lenten tour to Sugarland. While there, pilgrims will visit the Shrine of the Immaculate Discretionary Account, take courses in counter-terrorism from a former Marine, and bath in the healing waters of Shrine Muck, a centuries-old place of pilgrimage, located nearby a premier distillery of rare Scotch.
“Lent is a season when we are called to introspection and repentance,” said Chiow. “This time together will provide time for contemplation, as well as the opportunity to visit the local IKEA. We’ll even have an expert speaking on the IKEA Malm line of bespoke furniture. I can tell you from first-hand experience—this is one dresser than won’t tip over on you.”
The cost for Chiow’s “Love Thy Neighbor” pilgrimage is just $666, payable to the Jeff Chiow Center for Ethics.
Chaplain for the tour will be the Rt. Rev. Robert Hiller Malm, Episcopal Bishop of Sugarland and author of the best-selling books, “Bell, Book and Candle: Dealing With Terrorists in Your Church,” and “Pastoral Ethics: It’s Okay to Lie if Your Parishioner is a Terrorist.”
