Dateline Sugarland —- The Right Rev. Robert Hillier Malm visited Buckingham Palace today at the request of Queen Elizabeth II, governor of the Church of England.
The meeting helped the queen, now 92, develop skills needed to fulfill her largely ceremonial role in the Anglican Communion.
“While we did not have the advantage of a Tabor education, we found Bishop Malm’s advice most helpful. We are, of course, familiar with the bishop’s reputation for candor and compassion, his capabilities as a preacher, and his expertise in affording pastoral care.
“We look forward to hosting Bishop Malm at Balmoral later this year.”
