REMINDER: Giving at Grace Episcopal is NOT Confidential

If you’re a member of Grace Episcopal Church and thinking about pledging this year, keep in mind that pledging is NOT confidential.

Doubt it? Check out the attached screen cap in which a certain “long-term parishioner” improperly posted details of giving on The Wartburg Watch. Yes, a member of my family wrote a check for $.02. No, I did not write the check, and no, it was not a gift to the church.

That said, it should alarm people not only that “long-term” had access to this data, but that she thought it was appropriate to share this information with the world at large.

So what next? Will this foolish and mean-spirited person share details of YOUR giving?

Not to mention, as is often the case with people at Grace Church, this morning ndividu lies. It was actually four weeks since I hat attended services, not “months.”

But when did the truth ever matter in Sugarland?
