See for Yourself: Email Between Grace Parishioner Kemp Williams and Rector Bob Malm
In this email, you see Bob Malm working the traps, trying to stoke fears within the parish, by asking the church ushers to be ready, just in case.
Of course, what’s telling is three things:
- Bob continues his campaign of defamation by insinuation (which is actionable in Virginia) against me.
- Nowhere in Kemp Williams’ writings, in Bob Malm’s, or in anything else coming out of Grace do you ever see any real Christian concern for others. If in fact they think I or anyone else am mentally ill, wouldn’t you expect some discussion about ways to help? Of course you would. But instead, you see Bob Malm mocking mental illness with references to “dysfunction junction,” and layers of innuendo, as well as his shuttle diplomacy. “My wife and family are anxious, sometimes fearful,” to the diocese. Meanwhile, his family didn’t even know about Mom’s blog, by Leslie Malm’s own statement; it was Bob who told her about the blog.
Hmmmm.
- The absolute lack of appropriate pastoral presence in Bob Malm’s case. As one person said to me, “We both know Bob’s not a real priest.”
