new safeway

Safeway now albertsons will look good for a month. then they will cut labor hours and it will look like all the rest.out of stocks bathrooms trashed ghetto employees out of date products eqipment broken etc... not to mention the 75 backstage employees now just fired and many more to come in january many with no severance pay or insurance happy holidays,
oh yea howa about the pending lawsuit in maryland for unfair labor and negotiations new safeway right same old shit! Wegmans will be open soon see ya there

I hate the new Safeway. Parking sucks. Who cares about an olive bar? The aisles are narrow, having to take an elevator to shop for groceries is inconvenient, it's the same stuff as before...there is nothing gourmet about the place.

OP, thank you for your post and I wish you well. Bradlee Safeway started a sharp decline prior to its closure, such that I knew something was up. Emphasis on Safeway brands, poor produce, long check out lines. Bradlee Safeway had some of the best employees I've known and I wish you well. I won't be shopping there, as incredibly the parking back up space is even more narrow than Bradlee shopping center. Poor lighting, less space, sharp turn angle = hit cars.


O/T but three large food purvayors in a one mile line up King Stree? Safeway, Fresh Market and soon to be Harris Teeter? How's those 3% margins looking now guys? Ha, you're all competing against one another. Amazing.

Fresh Market is mostly organic stuff, not much competition with Safeway.
