I got pulled over today for a speeding ticket and I plan on using every single defense possible to get the ticket dropped

One of the things that I need to know is what type of speeding gun was used

Police have to calibrate the gun daily before setting up a speed trap. No calibration report = No case. A good lawyer = Andy Geloo. She's hot too. I had a speeding ticket 92/55. She got it dropped down from wreckless to a regular speeding ticket. Go to "Eagle Driving School" on Lee Highway, take the class, ($85.00) talk to the instructor Laurie Taylor, get the lawyer ($500.00) keep your license. Make sure you show up for court. People that don't show up are hit with max penalties and fines, I witnessed it. If you did not get a wreckless, she will win the case. She's awesome, a pretty lawyer who will get you off the hook. Highly reccommend her.

Hey speedrazor,

how is andy Geloo if i did get a wreckless ticket? I got a 80 in a 55 and a wreckless charge on me. I plan on taking two classes recommended by Laurie Taylor. I was planning on going to court by myself but Laurie recommended against that.

If you had Andy Geloo...can you please tell me what fee she charged you.

Thanks!

Usually on the line under the court date/charge code they'll put Lidar or Radar or Pace after the speed. If it's Lidar it should be a Kustom Signals brand. Radar could be Striker or Falcon. It depends. Most departments have a mix of equipment. If it's a Lidar ticket, unless it's out of calibration (every 6 months has to get certified by a lab), you really have no chance of fighting it.

The type of radar gun used is the one that will cause you to have to pay $$$ and acquire points on your driving record for speeding.

Curious if you were thinking of "every defense possible" while SPEEDING? I would guess the best defense you have/ had is to drive the speed limit.

Sounds to me no matter what - the least you will be paying is $85 Class and $500 for a Lawyer. $585 to beat the ticket, BUT you still probably will lose so add whatever the fines are to the total. I would completely guess, $60 to 200 ---

$585 to $785, maybe loss of license? Damn - should of just relaxed and driven in a manner that the laws dictate...oh, and to keep other people safe.

Thank you postpoppunk, I am tired of assholes driving like shit, then fucking up my commute home because they caused some damn accident. Everyone take your time and drive.

I cannot find the Virginia State Code For Wreckless driving, but two people have been written tickets for it. Not sure why Wreckless driving would be against the law, I think the state would want us not to have wrecks.

You can't find it because you spelled it wrong. "Reckless Driving" not "Wreckless driving" VA code 46.2-852 http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+46.2-852

46.2-862 is reckless driving by speed... http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+46.2-862
