FCPS Summer School Enrollment

I had to FAX my summer school form (with my parents' credit card number) and a report card giving "evidence" that I go to an FCPS school.
#1- Who the fuck still uses Fax? its the most insecure primitive shit-headed form of paper-based communication on the planet! I have no idea whether they got it, or whether it even fucking sent! AND my stupid shitty fax machine rotates the paper as its going through, so maybe they didn't receive it, maybe they did, I DONT KNOW.
IS IT THAT HARD TO SETUP A FUCKING WEBSITE WITH TEH FORM, OR TO COLLECT IT AT THE SCHOOL THAT IM ATTENDING? Not only is that convenient, BUT IT VERIFIES THAT I GO THERE!
#2- Why do I need to give you evidence? Is everything not already computer based? (SASI, Attendance, Records) so what the hell?
A LOT of organizations, foundations, newspapers, journals, and other districts claim that FCPS has some of the best schools in the country; but they still can't setup a decent fucking "type and submit" system? or better yet a simple computer network which keeps track of students? (yes, I know its not simple, but I BET hundreds of other counties do, so why not ours?)
Screw FCPS.
oh, and also, JACK DALE NEEDS TO GO.

You're forgetting fax is more advanced and secure than snail mail. Better fax machines will print a confirmation page if the page was sent successfully.
Not everyone has computers and/or the internet and knows how to use either. Don't forget language barriers. It may have nothing to do with technology or capability but rather compliance for the economically or socially "disadvantaged". That doesn't mean that people know how to use a fax machine either but it's a hell of a lot easier than explaining all of the variables involved with computers/internet/websites.

I deal with a few federal agencies in my job, two of which are well known for cutting edge science & technology. And both those places rely heavily on fax machines.
(And yes, it's annoying).

I feel your pain! I had to sign my daughter up for a special ed class and it costs $700 and she has to go to a shcool 30 minutes away because some one fucked up the budget. Special ed classes are supposed to be free. I put a note with the application telling them to call me before processing the credirt card transaction. they didn't. Fortunately, I had my economic stimulus refund in my account.
I am fed up with the whole budget cut bullshit! I pay hefty taxes for my daughter to have an education and they are cutting all the good programs because some asshole didn't count the fucking number of students correctly.

Teachers should not have applied to this rigged-up summer school that FCPS is offering this summer.
Who wants to work and do not get immediate gratification for working.....whoever heard of disecting a check into 12 parts throughout the next fical school year for working three or four week! How stupid!
No teachers should have applied so that all the superintendents and subordinates would have had to work the show....they get paid enough, let them work just a litte bit more so this MESS will not happen next year!

Skip the geometry class. Try taking a class where they teach you to express your views without resorting to nasty language.

Sorry to hear you had problems. I don't understand your financial logic. A Credit Card transaction does not take any money from your account. You normally have to pay the bill 20-30 days after the end of the billing cycle.
Regarding costs-- Looks like the USGOVT is paying for your summer school. Your free-govt-handout was probably more than the $700 they charged you. I do want to know how much you pay in taxes. The normal school year costs more than $10,000/student. Most people don't pay that much in taxes. (unless, of course, you are rich and $$$$ should not be an object anyway).
Finally, quit venting with such foul language.
