Anyone ever see this guy? Usually he is hanging out around Fairfax County parkway, Baron Cameron Ave, and Town Center Parkway. He is typically in jeans and a white shirt and pushes around a cart full of buckets, brooms, etc.

The cool thing is, this guy is ALWAYS cleaning up stuff... It is amazing. Everytime I see him he is sweeping, picking up trash, etc.

The past few days he has been sawing up a tree that fell onto Town Center parkway during the storm on Saturday. The tree trunk has got to have at least a 24" trunk and he is sawing it up with a hand saw.

I am just curious what his situation is... he never begs and always seems to be minding his own business cleaning things up. I don't want to bother him but would love to kick this guy cash, clothes, tools or whatever if he needed it.

I see him all of the time. I think he's probably a retired guy who likes to keep busy and cleaning up the street/sidewalk is his little contribution to society and a way to occupy himself. Just pull over one day and ask him if he needs anything. He's been at it for years, so my guess is that he's got all that he needs.

I remember seeing this guy on the parkway alot of times, and you're right he was always cleaning up out there and he looked like Santa Claus.

Ive seen him on baron cameron raking leaves in the fall last year. He has a counterpart in south Reston on glade who rides a bike and cleans up trash by hunters woods.

I pick up the beer bottles and fast food wrappers that litter the street every Sunday morning. My neighbors think I am crazy too. They suggest I leave it for the HOA grounds crew. Yes I pay the HOA fees but nothing wrong with taking some pride on how your neighborhood looks. Besides the HOA crew may get to it for days.

He's there every day. He looks like Forest Gump after he ran across country several times. White beard and hair are unkempt. He seems to be pretty weak. He tries to scoop up some dust into an empty pail and hardly makes it.
