We have permanent term limits - they are called votes and are available to eligible voters everywhere at election time.

Fat, dumb, and stupid is no way to go through life.

Y'know there are plenty of reasons to dislike Obama. I don't understand why dumb-asses like the OP feel they have to make shit up.

Sometimes you can't stop at the first paragraph of something, you need to read further down.

The OP never said it is legal he only said Axelrod said it. I don’t doubt he said it. Remember the Obama campaign motto “Win BY Any Means” Democrats have only one choice KEEP hiding yourself from the facts or Admit you were fooled by the mainstream media.

Remember this is the guy who said last year, he was unable to do anything about illegal aliens without the approval of Congress, and yet he did it any way this year. He's abused executive orders power after claiming in 2008 President Bush did the samething, and that he would not.

I would put nothing past this guy.

Another dirty uneducated democrat. Do us all a favor and stay home and watch American Idol on Nov 6. Democrats are really the scum of society, like they are ok with a President who has no problem sticking a pair of scissors in the back of an infant’s head.....because it was supposed to killed by abortion. I pray for you all every day.

There's nothing here that can be overriden by an Executive Order...

Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

Is that a way of saying that Axelrod didn't say it?

Oh please.

If Obama does win a 2nd term it will be by the skin of his teeth.

After 4 more years of incompetence there's no way that retard would get elected to a 3rd term.

+1

@22 Amendment, et al

The president has no ability to amend the Constitution on his own. This is settled not only through the Constitution itself, but also through case law:

----------------

The Amendment Process

There are essentially two ways spelled out in the Constitution for how to propose an amendment. One has never been used.

The first method is for a bill to pass both houses of the legislature, by a two-thirds majority in each. Once the bill has passed both houses, it goes on to the states. This is the route taken by all current amendments. Because of some long outstanding amendments, such as the 27th, Congress will normally put a time limit (typically seven years) for the bill to be approved as an amendment (for example, see the 21st and 22nd).

The second method prescribed is for a Constitutional Convention to be called by two-thirds of the legislatures of the States, and for that Convention to propose one or more amendments. These amendments are then sent to the states to be approved by three-fourths of the legislatures or conventions. This route has never been taken, and there is discussion in political science circles about just how such a convention would be convened, and what kind of changes it would bring about.

Regardless of which of the two proposal routes is taken, the amendment must be ratified, or approved, by three-fourths of states. There are two ways to do this, too. The text of the amendment may specify whether the bill must be passed by the state legislatures or by a state convention. See the Ratification Convention Page for a discussion of the make up of a convention. Amendments are sent to the legislatures of the states by default. Only one amendment, the 21st, specified a convention. In any case, passage by the legislature or convention is by simple majority.

The Constitution, then, spells out four paths for an amendment:

Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state conventions (never used)
Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state legislatures (never used)
Proposal by Congress, ratification by state conventions (used once)
Proposal by Congress, ratification by state legislatures (used all other times)
It is interesting to note that at no point does the President have a role in the formal amendment process (though he would be free to make his opinion known). He cannot veto an amendment proposal, nor a ratification. This point is clear in Article 5, and was reaffirmed by the Supreme Court in Hollingsworth v Virginia (3 US 378 [1798]):

The negative of the President applies only to the ordinary cases of legislation: He has nothing to do with the proposition, or adoption, of amendments to the Constitution.

That's just unnecessary, vile, and, frankly, a lie. I'm no Democrat (voted Republican in every election I've been eligible for), but I don't need to insult my political opponents. They're still people.

See, THAT is a good reason to not vote for Obama.

We dont' have to make stuff up to have good reasons not to vote for him.

One thing is certain, there is no term limit on how long you can now collect welfare since Obama removed the work portion of the welfare to work law.

After 4 more years, he'll be indistinguishible from a Republican.

I'm not saying he is going to do amend the rule on term limits, he may postpone the election, etc. All the talk from the Dems saying new voter ID laws, could prompt him to say something like.... due to the number of reports of people not being able to vote, etc, I'm suspending the results of the election. Or, perhaps if there is wide spread violence prior to the election, he could postpone them.

You may say this is all kook talk, but given his previous actions, one would be foolish to not take this into account.

This doctor visited with Obama and lunched in our White House in 2010!

Pa. abortion doctor goes on trial in 8 deaths

Doctor Steven Massof of Pittsburgh told the grand jury that he used scissors to snip the spines of more than 100 babies born alive.
