We have both phone and internet service with Cavalier. Service is not expensive. When they had that tornado down near Chesapeake last monnth, our internet did not work. it took several calls but eventually they got us back on line. I would say go for it.

Customer service sucks. We dropped them about a year ago. Verizon is more expensive, but at least they come out when you call.

I've had them here at the office for atleast a couple of years. Beleive it or not - 2 problems. When we first got it.

Good price. The customer service reps even came down to meet us.

I say make it a point to atleast speak with a rep.

You got lucky, I have worked with just about every major ISP in the country. I will say Cox Cable is hands down the best ISP in the USA.

Verizon is last, or close to last.

I just got a flyer from Cavalier advertising "better than cable modem speed" Internet service, plus all-you-can-eat phone service for $50 total. I don't know what I would do for video if I took the deal.

If you do choose Cavtel, be sure to get the phone rep's name and phone extension in case you have to call back. If not, you will get some newbie who is only able to handle the simplest questions. We had ISP problems and no one could help us or their advice was wrong. Finally, we got a supervisor who walked us through the procedure. That was for our desk top computer after a tornado in Chesapeake Va. We kept his name and he then helped us with my laptop.
Other than that glitch we have had no complaints with Cavtel. They are a small company and they are located in Richmond.
