I am so sick of this that I have to post. I have ridden metro for 20 years using multiple stations over the years and I have never seen such rude, pushy people as have been showing up at the Vienna metro station in the afternoons. These are tweny somethings, mostly black, with ear buds in who ignore the lines at the escalators and march to the front and push their way in front of everyone. When you say something about getting in line, of course the ear buds are in so they choose not to hear. I have used the New Carrolton station which is mostly blacks in the afternoon and have not seen the same behavior. We need to stop letting these people cut in and make them wait like everyone else. With Mason starting up again it can only get worse. Grow up and act like adults for a change.

I have seen in countless times at the DC metro. Also, go to any amusement park, such as Kings Dominion and you see them skip the entire line without any regard to the 100+ people behind them.

However, per the original point, Fairfax and surrounding jurisdictions, for whatever reason just seems to be full of people who are narcisstic. I don't know the why, but the results are seen on a daily basis, whether on Metro or around the area roads, in stores, etc.

The Vienna/Fairfax-GMU station saw five incidents that resulted in arrests in July, according to the latest incident report from the Metro Transit Police.


The following incidents were reported at the Vienna station:

I have never seen a Metro cop at Vienna. I think they are more needed in the ghetto stops like SE DC and PG. Maybe they get combat pay for those areas..

I beg to differ, IN NYC more people observe proper etiquette at elevators and sub car doors. People getting off have the right-of-way. Here in the DC Metro area evevryone is the asst to the unedr secretary in charge of the broom closet and have an Enhanced Sense of Entitlement or ESE. If it were not for the hassle of incarceration, I would at minimum foot stomp assholes that don't get the idea until they get it right.
