What is the best high school in Fairfax County. I am just wondering what other people thought, and try to be honest and not just pick your high school..

I would vote that Langley or Jefferson(obviously)

Jefferson, by far. Non selective schools, Langley, Oakton, Woodson, and Madison.

Hi, Neen. I'm back. As you're spouting nonsense again.

This constant ranking of high schools is a silly exercise, but if you are going to play the numbers game, as usual, please substitute McLean for Madison. McLean consistently out-performs Madison, and it does so with a higher percentage of low-income students.

Madison is a perfectly fine school, but it is not in the top five in the county and its test scores are actually declining. But you knew that.

Hugs.

You don't get it. Neen's daughter went to Madison. It's like the little league coach who passes over the better player so he can pick his kid for the all-star team. Don't expect her to be objective.

Please god...not another "which school is best" pissing contest. Don't you people already have a good half dozen threads where you can club each other?

Best High School - stupid question.

It's Westfield easy.

Big school, tons of drugs, drunk co-eds, great football team.

What more could you axe for before gradiating and going to a party college?

5. Oakton
6. Madison
7 Lake Braddock
8. Robinson

1. TJ
2. Langley
3. McLean
4. Madison
5. Marshall
6. Woodson
7. Oakton
8. Robinson
9. West Springfield
10 Fairfax

Top Party schools:

Can't speak to Westfield's party ranking, but a combination of the SAT/SOL rankings would result in this "Top 10," which sounds about right:

TJHSST

Langley
McLean
Madison
Woodson
Oakton
Marshall
Robinson
Lake Braddock
West Springfield

I suppose that's tongue-in-cheek, but Fort Hunt used to be one of the top high schools in the county. Times change.

Besides Jefferson, I would think Langley High and McLean High would take the trophy for highest exam scores, however I do not think that would be indicator of which school is "best", as that is highly subjective and cannot be defined by just test scores or average school-wide grade-point-averages.
