I know the complete history of this house. It's still owned by a Arab oil country. If you have any questions let me know

No, it isn't. It is owned by the Smythe family. They were owners of many businesses in the Fairfax area. They owned the Fuddruckers in Annandale and Fairfax and also the Timeouts in the Springfield Mall. They also had a lot of stock in the old trolley line that ran from Vienna to DC.

Prove it!!! The power is still on.... Why would anyone pay for that after the extensive damage / defamation?? Why hasn't the house been demolished yet??? seems like you've got a mad treasure trove of info...

Im sorry Fitz I belive you are wrong, but I live in Great falls and have explored this place many times, I can confirm Randy has also been there. We have taken many artical of paper including the mail that STILL comes in.anyways my research turned up it was build in the 80's by a lawyer in dc who died in the 90's mother and daughter sold the house to a rich oil country I forget which one... however recently I turned the power on in the tennis court house.all records indicate the owner is still paying property tax and power bills

They own 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8. That's a lot of land. Good on them for getting in while the getting was good!!!

The Smythe family owned many businesses and stores in the northern Virginia area. These included the Fuddruckers in Annandale and Timemout 1 and 2 in Springfield Mall. They also were owners of the 3 Chefs restaurant for some time.

Additionally, the Smythe family were majority stakeholders in the Parkington mall when it opened in the late 60s. Ancestors of the Smythe family held a minority share in the trolley line that ran from Vienna to DC.

Unfortunately, several of the Smythe children were involved in criminal activity in and around the Great Falls and McLean areas. Some were admitted to the L@mb Center and the family went into decline. Thus the abandoned house.

Thanks for letting me know!!! Please send my ticket to 1045 Bellview Rd. Thank you for helping crack down on Window Abuse in the area!!! I know too many windows that have been damaged by dangerous and deranged members of this forum. If you'd like to post your contact information I think it would really help us create a stronger vigilante community!

My friend told me this house was owned by the prince of qatar, and where is the tennis court i didn't see that? well, I was in and out of there pretty quick, I got kind of scared. Anyways, how long has this house been abandoned? Who actually owns it?? I am so interested and curious! And does anyone know of anymore abandoned mansions near by?

Not surprised. The houses in Great Falls get flipped to new owners about every 4 years. People buy the houses and then go bankrupt, they can't afford the property tax or mortgage payments.

Most the houses in Great Falls are owned by Lawyers, Doctors, or the owners of Real Estate Firms.

Hi, I don't know anything about who owns this property now.. But I knew the home when it was in it's prime. Robert, the man that lived there and built the estate, was a lawyer and a wonderful person. When he first planned the house he wanted to put a pool in the large downstairs room but was talked out of it because of the humidity.. So he put the pool out back and laid marble in the room. Then years later built the beautiful pool enclosure. There were also 4 or 5 hot tubs, a sauna and a waterfall. Robert loved to play tennis and racket ball and built the huge indoor tennis court that has/had a gym, racket ball court and stable in it. It also has a small apartment above the stable that you accessed from the tack room. Robert passed away in 1994 and the house was put on the market shortly after. I have many wonderful memories of that place and it breaks my heart to see what has happened to it. It was an amazing place.

Mishal Al-Thani, and there are locks on the outside of bedroom and closet doors, dead giveaway for sex trafficking, including the house having indoor pool, indoor sauna, indoor hot tub, indoor tennis court, all indoors. Sex trafficking houses are known to have a lot of amenities to keep the victims there. Also, what’s up with the cameras in the indoor pool. This house was last occupied in 1997. Cameras weren’t cheap in the 80’s and 90’s yet.

GF is pretty cheap per sqft, areas like City of FC, Vienna, N Arlington are a lot more expensive.
