If Oakton had a "ghetto", this area would be it. Not far away from here is where that guy hung out trying to kidnap girls walking to Oakton High School. And a man was shot by cops in the apartments close by a couple years back.

They were most likely Greek. If you can't contribute in a normal way, i.e., someone's Father, Son, etc. died....Oh, why do I bother. Prayers to the Family.

The guy that was exposing himself and trying to kidnap people lived further on down Blake Ln. He lived near the intersection of Blake and rt. 29. It's past the Metro station. Although it's only five minutes via car, it would take about a half hour to walk it.

This neighborhood isn't a ghetto. It's a very safe neighborhood and I don't mind walking my dog late at night if I have to.

It's sad that this happened. It's been quite a shock to our neighborhood.

Police Investigate Shooting as Murder-Suicide
Two men involved in Oakton incident are now dead, officials say
By Erica R. Hendry and Nicole Trifone
http://oakton.patch.com/articles/police-investigate-shooting-as-murder-suicide

Fairfax County Police believe an Oakton man shot his housemate before turning the gun on himself Wednesday night, a spokesman said as he announced the launch of a murder-suicide investigation.

Spokesman Eddy Azcarate said police discovered 43-year-old Ihab Robert Qutob dead upon arrival.

The alleged shooter and suicide victim, Alexander Aden Rios, 27, was taken to a local hospital but died later in the evening.

Police did not confirm where they found Rios in the home.

Police do not know the nature of the men's relationship, but Azcarate said they were both residents of the condo where the shooting occurred. They had lived together for "more than a few months," Azcarate said, though he was unsure of exactly how long.

"There is no reason to believe this argument included a third person," Azcarate said. "This was between the two that lived in that home and both are now deceased."

Fairfax County dispatchers received a call around 7 p.m. for a report of shots fired in the 3000 block of Trevor House Drive, a row of condos known as the Trevor House neighborhood, located off of Jermantown Road and half a mile away from Route 123.

There is no clear motive in the shooting, Azcarate said. He did not offer comment on whether a suicide note was discovered.

A handgun was discovered at the scene, but Azcarate could not confirm exactly what type it was.

The last homicide in the Fair Oaks Police District, which encompasses Oakton, was in 2010, Azcarate said.

Azcarate said neighbors should feel safe in their homes tonight. Police expect to be out of the area soon.

It's just dumb a**s like your self, that speak on subjects that they know nothing about. It shouldn't matter if he was gay or straight, black or white.....a life was lost...All im saying is pay respect that was still someones child the same way you are.

You throw the word "you" around a lot, but never specify who it is you are referring to exaclty. For example, I quoted you, so therefore, I am speaking directly to to you.

I am in the United States of America. What country are you in? I believe these people are free to post their opinions. Best advice I can give to you is to not participate in this thread if it offends you.

You are not getting my point. This is the internet and it is widely open. If one of my family members came across this website where it's publishing inaccurate info about my brother then you are changing my brother life and the truth about him. He is dead now and we should respect him and not making freedmen of speech a tool to hurt others more than what they already been hurt. My brother died in an awful way by a friend. Do you understand now why I am on this site and why I am doing what I am doing. I really hope you understand my position.

I don't think these people really understand how this messageboard/the internet works. WIth the ability to post anonymously, you unfortunately forfeit your priviledge to edit posts (this includes deleting photographs, in case they might not know what 'editing a post' means). You're either going to have to contact the site manager or ask facebook to delete the photo (good luck with that one).

How To Get the Picture Removed
Posted by: Leagle Eagel ()
Date: September 11, 2012 10:25AM

Here's how you get this picture removed:

First, send a politely worded letter or E-mail to Cary Wiedemann, who is the owner of this forum, asking him to remove it. His E-mail address is cary@fairfaxunderground.com.

If Cary chooses to ignore the letter or E-mail, then if and only if you are the copyright holder of the photograph (meaning either that you took the photograph or know who did and have a signed statement from that person assigning the copyright to you), send a DMCA takedown notice to abuse@inforelay.com, which is the ISP that hosts Fairfax Underground. You can find versions of the form your E-mail should take in numerous places on the Internet, or you can hire one of the many lawyers specializing in intellectual property law in Fairfax County to do it for you.

Note that this second course of action is available to you only if you are the copyright holder of the photograph. If you are merely an aggreived and geiving relative, you may not send a DMCA notice, and you likely have no cause of action under which you may pursue another legal claim, as merely acting like an asshole on the Internet is not actionable.

This is so sad :( I was Bobby's friend for many years and can say with absolute certainty that he was indeed gay and proud of it. It's so horrible to see how friends and even strangers can accept him for who he was and his own family cannot. Not accepting him in life is one thing, he must deal with your choice but in his passing, accept him. I didn't know Alex very well but i met him on occasion. He seemed so happy and he & Bobby really loved each other. Thank you to whoever posted that lovely picture of them. They should not be hidden, but remembered fondly by the ones who loved them most. LoVee,
I could not agree with you more. I knew them both actually, very well and I truly believe that Bobby deserves to be loved for who he really was and not made into someone else because there are people that are embarassed by his lifestyle. Bobby was a happy and extremely caring individual and should be remembered for those qualities. It really does not matter if he was gay or not. I know that his family suffers great pain because he is no longer here on earth but he is with God and he is loved by God for exactly WHO HE WAS and there is nothing wrong with that. I hope his family member that is posting on here can take the time to truly understand that. I beleive that both men are in a better place now. RIP Bobby and Alex!

I knew him better than anyone except his family. He was the most giving, caring, considerate and loyal friend you would ever want in your life. We were friends since 1993 and my family welcomed him in to our home any time he could visit. I met Alex a few years ago and I knew he had "major" issues. Myself as well as many friends tried to get Bobby to stay away but he was lonely and thought he could help Alex. This was the worst decision of Bobby's life! I have regret every day that I couldn't do something to prevent this awful tragedy! I pray Bobby is at peace now!

To all of Bobby's friends or who say they are his Friends! WE THE FAMILY are very very proud of Bobby and love him so much no matter what! We cry every night for missing him. Bobby was the son, uncle, brother and friend. IF YOU ARE SAYING YOU ARE HIS FRIENDS then you will not be sharing all of the above on a public website. BOBBY was a very private person that did't advertise his life style. WE HIS family respected him and owner his privacy and our duit to keep it that way even after he left us.

WE ask you all to stop talking about his very private life and don't say that ALEX was loved by Bobby because you don't know Bobby if you are saying that. I am going to say something to make you all rest in peace.

We know as a fact that Bobby was discussed by Alex and had kicked him out of his home last year however, due to his personal issues and been fired from his job and the fact that his family wouldn't take him in when he needed them the most. Bobby had to step in and offer him to stay at his place.

For the record, Alex had drug and alcohol addiction and needed help from his family and friends but no one extended the help except Bobby. Alex is mentally ill and that was proven doctor reports and prescription he was taking. Bobby paid a high price tag of Alex's anger toward his family and the whole word. WE hope that Alex's family feel the sacrifice that Bobby had to go through and that they will live in shame the rest of their life.

So to all of you, keep your judgment to your self and leave Bobby alone if you can't control what to say. We are in touch with his real friends and they are part of our life too.

Kardinal is right "Bobby's Family" should stop reading because the amount of ignorance that they keep posting is overwhelming! Bobby was a very private person indeed, so much so that he went to great lengths to keep things private from his "family". Things he was afraid of revealing out of fear of rejection & judgment.

For the CORRECT record Bobby never kicked Alex out of his home-he left through his own freewill -all the while Bobby stayed trying to convince him to come back. Bobby did nothing to get Alex the help that he needed and he paid the high price for his lack of proactive action because he cared for Alex and did not want to see him suffer anymore than he already was. Anyone who says otherwise is greatly mistaken.

The shame will NEVER lie with Alex's family or friends. Shame should be with nasty people who look to blame innocents. Shame should be with selfish people who look to gain out of such a tragedy. Shame should be with people who want and or demand respect but do not give such courtesy to others.

They are both in a better place and there they will both be at peace. The peace that some pathetic people have yet to find. Look to God. May his answers satisfy you.

Equality 101... it is very easy for you to claim a true statement. But as a close friend to Bobby, I sure you that you are wrong.. Bobby till just a week from his death was requesting Alex to move out and asking his family to help to let him move to Alex's mother house. I am sure you are from Alex's side and you want to clear his profile which I understand. But you can't say that Bobby din't help Alex. Poor Bobby he paid a high price for been kind. Alex's family had told the police that Alex didn't have an intimate relationships with Bobby but they were very close friends and Bobby was close to the family and was the God father to one of Alex's sisters baby too. So that's why Bobby felt obligated to help Alex and keep him around..

To Bobby's Family, I am so sorry for your lost and I wish I know how to get in touch with you to be their for you. You need to know that he loved you all and was proud of his family and never ashamed.

RIP Bobby

To 'a friend'- please try to refrain from posting incorrect information regarding statements. Alex's family never said anything close to what you just stated. Anything Bobby did was not out of "obligational feelings" towards Alex's family- it was because he cared for him. Simple as that.
