werent able to take a picture but newer(like 06, dont confuse it with the one that just came out) malibus are now being used by police. They get 30mpg and mostly being used as rental cars but I guess the county is using it as a way to save gas. I have had the base model rented before by enterprise and they are sloooooooow, fwd and very small inside. Saw someone the other day get pulled over on braddock by one.

yea... government maybe... doubt the police uses a malibu. you must be think impala.


malibus are the perfect fleet vehicle. abundant, cheap, and crappy.

nope, undercover Fairfax county officers. Believe me I know my cars, I was stuck in traffic and got to check it out. There were two fairfax county officers inside. You are right they are very cheap so I was very surprised to see one. Just watch for these, look for the strobe lights if one gets behind you. They made the stop by mason near sideburn rd off of braddock

If I were a cop, I would not be too happy driving one of these little cars. Or perhaps too embarrased to be seen in one.

Got one as a loaner car(Enterprise) from the dealership a few weeks back. The driving positition was really uncomfortable and there's not much room. However, it wasn't as slow as I thought it was, just enough fro this area's slow traffic.

Yes, I've seen these but I think they are Impala's. State troopers also use them. I also saw the unmarked black Cadillac Escalade with tinted windows, but this time it was in MD. I guess the MD troopers are using one too.

haven't driven the malibu, but got an impala the other day as a rental. i thought it was pretty nice. large interior, big trunk, plenty of power. i was surprised since chevy's have gone so far down hill, but i liked the impala.

They couuuullddd last for some time but the way police will be driving them it wont take long before they blow a head gasket or drop the transmission. Back in 03 when I was with the Marine Corps and I just got out of the ait I did hometown recruiting and we were given those brand new 4 door chrysler sebring and everyone at the station beat the crap out of those cars with no regards , I cant imagine fcpd treat their cars any better.

I just saw a Fairfax County unmarked PD car with it's visor light bar flashing (the cop was directing traffic). The car appeared to be a white Chrysler Concord.
