Black Friday at Fair Lakes (pics/videos)

I guess I should set a good example and add some content to this site every once in awhile.
With that said, I just got back from some early morning shopping at Fair Lakes and the lines were ridiculous!

The line to get into Best Buy wrapped all the way around to the front of Red Robin! The line for Target nearly ran the length of the building. Yes, a line for Target! crazy. There was even a line outside Radioshack.

Take a look for yourself:
BestBuy line (avi, 14megs)
Target line (avi, 11megs)
(warning, the Best Buy video is kind of crappy but gets the point across)

People seem to enjoy the pain... everyone knows this is going to happen

more power to them, I personally do not celebrate xmas so I've already finished my shopping.... that being the one thing I get for my girl to shut her up...everyone else can stick a christmas tree up their ass...

good job cary, it's fun to watch

seriously, what the fuck was Best Buy offering, hell even Target, to get people to stand in those lines that early?

We should make this more fair and move Xmas to Summer, Jesus was actually born closer to summer anyway IIRC.

"Based on the accounts in the Gospels of the shepherds' activities, the time of year depicted for Jesus' birth could be spring or summer. However, as early as 354, Roman Christians celebrated it following the December solstice in an attempt to replace the Roman festival of Saturnalia. Before then, Jesus' birth was generally celebrated on January 6 as part of the feast of Theophany, also known as Epiphany, which commemorated not only Jesus' birth but also his baptism by John in the Jordan and possibly additional events in Jesus' life."

Unless it's a major loss leader, you can always find a better deal online. I'll never understand people.

RESton Peace,
the reason it's in december instead of september, is that people were getting trashed all the time around the new year. so to cover it up, they made it a holiday. they did the same thing with valintines day as there was carnival. oh those catholics, what will they do next.

People love to shop, specially da hoes.

I didn't even leave my place Friday until I realized my once-beautiful carpets looked like a leopard with oddly scattered spots and needed to rent a steam cleaner. Fortunately, the Food Lion off 29/Jermantown is so awful that nobody was there. My carpets now look lovely by the way.

I heard today that some 68 year old woman fractured a couple bones in her face after being pushed down and trampled at Best Buy. I believe the excitment was over xbox 360s. Queue lawsuit.
