"Starting on Friday, June 15, Fairfax County Police will step up traffic enforcement in a new program called HEAT, short for "Help Eliminate Aggressive Traffic."

Stupid cops. Traffic can't be aggressive. Drivers can be aggressive, but traffic can't. Go back to cop-speak school and try again.

Regardless, a few things are certain.

1. There will never be a cop around when there needs to be.

2. Whenever a cop is around, they will be on the side of the road doing probably nothing and traffic will back up worse than usual.
