It depends on whether you can afford the car AND contribute the maximum to your company's retirement plan.

Retirement might not happen if you drive more than you can afford. That goes with any luxury.

By the way, I know someone who doesn't have two nickels to rub together, but he always has the nicest things, because he "earned" them.

Geez, I'm not sure "TheMeeper" should really be commenting on other people's spelling/grammar. For future reference, when a pronoun is the subject of a sentence you use nominative form, i.e. "He" instead of "Him".
