Is it lega to carry guns in your car while driving on George Washington Parkway?
(either open carry or with a concealed carry permit from VA)

I could swear I read somewhere that it is prohibited because GW Parkway is
considered federal property.(National Park land)

That VA State Police doesn't mention federal land like GW Pkwy.

It's illegal to carry fireamr on federal property, such as post office,
federal buildings, and yes, even George Washington Parkway(which is located
in Virginia).

Correct ^

GW Parkway is part of the NPS. VCDL is currently getting this rule fixed at the federal level, see: http://www.vcdl.org/pdf/VCDLPRM_010408.pdf
