what are the chances of getting a ticket for expired safety inspection sticker?

One of my cars is rarely driven. It's a 2007 car, but I just don't get to
drive it much. I only drive it when it snows, because it is the only one
of my three cars that's 4-Matic all-wheel-drive. The last time I drove it
was when we had snow here... around beginnig of February? It has been in my
garage since then.

anyway, I just realized that its VA safety inspection sticker expired 2/08.

the nearest gas station that does inspection is 7 miles away, and part of it
is over shark-infested roads... oops, I meant heavily patrolled by the county
police... :)

I plan to drive it to that gas station in the next few days and get a new
inspection sticker on it... no chance of it failing... since it's a '07
car... :)

but what are my chances of getting pulled over and issued a ticket for
expired safety sticker?

any advice appreciated! :)

Lol, I would say one in a million. THink about it, why would an officer even bother checking if a brand new mercedes has an expired sticker. Especially if it's an 07 most of the officers will assume that the sticker is not even expired yet. Don't sweat it, even if by chance you get pulled over you can explain as to where you are going, if you still get the ticket you will have it dismissed in court by showing the proof that you have gotten the inspection done.

Lol, I wish that I will eventually come to the point that my worry is if I get an inspection sticker on my brand new benz.

follow a friend who is a legal car, and follow all rules of the road. You should be fine. Even if you do get pulled and ticketed, all you have to show in court is proof that you got it inspected after the fact, and the judge will dismiss the charge.
