Recently, I had a brief exchange with Flo, a songwriter/talented musician located here at Fairfax/Metro DC Hub. Flow was referred to me by a board member of non-profit as a possible collaborator for the arts related element of the Cafe Twin proposal.
Flo asked what the "Café Twin Access Channel" was. I explained that the access channel is the overall umbrella that will seek to link via community tv media with “live music host pubs, cafes at Fairfax/Metro Washington DC . It’s a “win-win” for all parties.
“Live music hosts” will get appreciation and thanks for providing great food, and live music to patrons as most such hosts are small business that brings choice of competitively priced quality food and music. Music talents will get to showcase their music via community tv media and internet while helping with the philanthropy element to support worthy non-profits doing good on a community level.
Fans not only will have variety of music to appreciate and enjoy at gathering spots around town for Food and music while supporting in small donations toward worthy causes that builds community spirit and healthier community at our Hometown USA anchored with Fairfax, VA and Metro Washington DC Hub.
This is the basic philosophy and big picture that has emerged on Live Music Community TV host Showcase via Café Twin Access Channel.

Fairfax Public Access is controlled by the employees not the citizens. Employees have a place that they can nestle into when can't find job in the real world media. They sit tight on volunteers so no boat rocking is allowed that could bring trouble. Creativity pretty much gone. Barely anyone watches or listens. Paid for from your cable bill. RE: Cafe Twin Show Update

Conversation: I have made considerable progress to enable the "Cafe Twin Show" on Community TV (Public Access Stations) in Fairfax, Arlington, Herndon (Northern Virginia) to start.

It is likely I will anchor the originiation of the Cafe Twin Show-- A bridge to music and science at the Public Access Station where I produced my previous show, Our Family Origins for a number of years in the past.

This proposed show builds on the experience and knowledge I gained from "Our Family Origins" but with added value with local music band or solo element and a coock show element, perhaps linking with some of the high quality "live Music" Host pubs and cafes we have in the community.

I would produce the show as I know how as a community service activity along with mostly a volunteer crew. But I have develped a small annual budget to to produce 20 half hour shows that I will share with one Patron and two sponsors who are needed to pay for small admin cost, a healthy meal for volunteer crew for the two production per month, and some costs associated with community outreach via website and other promotion that is required to assure good community support and enjoyment.

Anyone who has any helpful suggestion to enable the next step forward or can help write a grant to a foundaiton or business affilated sponsor , please contact me or my proposed co-host, John Monsul, long time producer of Communicating Today show at Fairfax Public Access.

To Celebrate and Appreciate "Ethnic Voices", music and science topics are most valuable in a multi-ethnic community such as we have in Fairfax Northern Virginia Commmunity.
