Soooo...seems the theme to teacher appreciation week at the above school is Cinco de Mayo. Am I wrong for thinking this is inappropriate? It is pretty much a drunk fest for the Mexicans, as is St. Pattys day for all the amatuer drunks. Most of the Mexicans are here illegally, so why celebrate a holiday for their groping, raping, fondling, pissing in public, non-tax paying, hit and run heritage and pride day for these scum balls?

Come on U.M. PTA, you can come up with a better theme. Or, how about just calling it what it is...teacher appreciation week!

I'm fine with it, due to it celebrating the French getting their asses handed to them as usual.

LOL, the French flag-isn't red, white, and blue. White only. Surrendering is a national tradition. Due to that, and plus their constant anti-US and pro Russian and other geo political b.s., support this and any resolution honoring the Mexicans that are all here, instead of Mexico. They all made an admirable effort to run, jump, and swim here, along with folks from El Salvador and Guatemala amongst other places.

People need to seriously get a life. Of all the things to complain about.

If you are so upset about what the PTA moms are doing, why don't you volunteer your time to work with the PTA. If its a job you don't want to do, then you shouldn't complain about what the people who DO give their time decide to do.

In the overall scheme of life, this seems to be a pretty minor thing. You need to find something that really matters to complain about.

No it isn't. It's a drunk fest for Americans who hijacked Cinco de Mayo. I would guesstimate that at least 2/3 of Americans can't accurately explain what Cinco de Mayo actually is.

Dearest Rebecca,
Some people actually work for a living. Hats off to the stay at home moms that can donate their time to this wonderful cause. However, we are first Americans and should take a more pride in being one and not being affraid of offending ILLEAGALS! Why must AMERICANS be the ones will all the sympathy for everybody else. We must take care of our own. Why not choose an American holiday/tradition for a theme?

To justsayin...you are part of the problem with our society.

These teacher appreciation things are an effort to express gratitude and have a little fun. Sometimes it is easier to think of something "different" to do if there is a theme. One year at our school the theme was flowers--a great theme, but doing it every year might get tiresome.

I imagine the theme was chosen because it was timely. Probably, an innocent choice by the committee. Our school provided snacks in the lounge all week, and a Mexican theme might add a little creativity to it. Guacamole one day, salsa the next or something like that. Maybe a Mexican luncheon on Friday?

Frankly, I think the theme thing is unecessary--but, hey-even weddings have themes these days......birthday parties, etc.

Lighten up.

Yes, si, good ol'Mexico is the closest geographically of the countries, "South of the Border." However, what most don't realize is the vast majority of illegals and also the shitheads are El Salavordeans. Its amazing they can walk. Ask them about Iguana and Pineapple for entrees.

When you bleeding heart liberals start crying the blues when you are forced to speak Spanish or Korean don't start complaining then.

Nice to see kindness and reason is trumping annoying, hateful trolling. I just did a quick tally and it's running about 5 to 1 against the OP troll. Hope springs...

Gotta run - I've got to get back to my (over)full time job, then off to my volunteer posts with youth sports and Boy Scouts. "Some people actually work for a living." How laughable!

It's bad enough when the U.S is forced to declare that our national language is English.

People need to be more involved with what is being force fed to the kids today, sadly, they are our future.

Dont be affraid to stray from the herd. Ever heard the saying "be a leader, not a follwer"...I am guessing not. Would you march into an incinerator if O'Bamma told you to? P.S...I know his name is really spelled Obama...I just think he is a bamma.

It's typical of liberal teachers to celebrate foreign holidays while not embracing American holidays for fear of offending foreignors. How many teachers at this school celebrate Flag Day? Veterans Day, etc? I'm willing to bet not many if any at all do so.

Why, yes I do. I Fly the Flag everday at our house. The only time it comes down is for extreme wind or when it is replaced with a new one.

we are not doing anything bad, Like last week I had a think sheet because I was talking in the hallway. She give me time out once cause I had my phone doing indoor recesses, Another time we had think sheet because we where mean to the Chinssee lady that came as a sub. She couldn't speak English. She should let be nice and let us be kids, because we are getting good grades.

this is just dumb. i really doubt that cinco de mayo in any way is going to affect teacher appreciation week and there are only so many weeks in the school year and several drinking holidays on them. this shouldn't in any way affect how a school is run
