I dont think you will et rich doing it but if you can set it up right, its gotta be a decent living. A buddy of mine owns a couple bars in college tows. The key to success is open them in towns with big sports/football presence and a big Greek presence, ECU lacks on both fronts.

I dont think he is getting rich, per se, but they consistently generate cash (in season) and he travels, A LOT. Not a bad gig, I guess.

What I thought was so funny was Brett talking about how hard it is to manage. Give me a break. Its really not hat tough to put together beer and liquor orders, mixer and soda orders and cleaning supplies. I can see staffing issues being a pain in the ass, but in a college town, there are always people begging to work. In Radford, the bartending gigs were coveted and the girls made a killing. I dont think they fucked off too much, cocktail waitresses, well thats another story.

It seems like ECU draws a good out of state crowd for some reason. Out of state kids = Daddys money and an appetite for frosty beverages. I wouldnt discount the amount of money some students can throw around.

At least in my college experience, if you can get established as a reliable place to hit up, you should be good for a while. Food, drink or otherwise. Location usually counts though, especially if you are hitting up the drunk food crowd (which hot dogs would be). I mean the town I went to school in actually had decent pizza joints, but the one next to the bars that sold shit pizza made a killing because it was....next to the bars.

So they are talking about the Caps' chances of winning the series vs the Rangers. If they have a 50/50 chance of winning each game, what are the chances of winning 2 in a row?

I get these guys aren't mathematicians here, but fuck!! They all agreed that it is 1/3. I don't want feel like explaining their reasoning but suffice it so say, it was wrong. EB google searches this and comes to a site claiming the chances are 1/4(the correct answer) but discounts it because in this hypothetical situation they are talking about coin tosses(as opposed to hockey games). Between the 4 of them they couldnt get the right answer.

listened between the 8-9 am hour. i figured about 35+ minutes of commercials

they had some lame interview with some broad(don't really care much for hockey) from NHL network or something. I think interview lasted about 2 1/2 minutes. what the hell was the point?

So what? 33% is accurate only in-so-far as it is one of 3 possible outcomes.

1 Caps lose game 6 (therefor no game 7)

2. caps win game 6, lose game 7

3. Caps win game 6, win game 7

Equal probability is NOT assigned to each possible outcome, however, because, like you said, the Caps still have to win game 6 in order to have a chance at game 7. Put another way; they have a 50% chance of having a 50% chance. Trust me, I'm right.

Thank God for Spotify and Podcasts. DC Local sports radio, be it 980 or 1067, is ear cancer. Once in a while, I'll try to keep it honest and see what is being talked about.. but it's inevitably on a commercial break. Then, at least in the Junkies case, it's them yelling over each other about some nonsensical topic. More power to them if people still listen to them.
