Yeah, and WTL ostracizes me for posting about Maddie B. At least I have a personal grudge with MBs family, they inserted themselves into my life. WTL claims to hate the show but can give you a play-by-play of the entire broadcast daily. If I could get my elementary school back simply by changing the channel, I would.

Danny Rouhier is pretty good on the air as well IMO. You are right though, the Junks sound like Stern in his prime compared to Dukes/ex linebacker or Wise.
I barely ever listen now, but I know I have seen on Twitter or heard on the air, multiple references to how all the Junkies and Dukes leave the station and put Sirius on in the car. It says alot when your own "talent" don't care to listen to the station.

Danny Rouhier is pretty good on the air as well IMO. You are right though, the Junks sound like Stern in his prime compared to Dukes/ex linebacker or Wise.
I barely ever listen now, but I know I have seen on Twitter or heard on the air, multiple references to how all the Junkies and Dukes leave the station and put Sirius on in the car. It says alot when your own "talent" don't care to listen to the station.

Look, the point is this: The Junks are old and stale. That's it, nothing more. YEARS ago, pre-HFS, they were pretty good and I enjoyed them. Now, they've got nothing. Ratings or whatever, that's the truth.

Years ago, the Junks were primarily responsible for me getting into "talk" radio. Today, my daily driver has XM and I can't imagine driving with out it. Occasionally I drive another vehicle and I'm forced to listen to normal radio. That's when I'm re-acquainted with how turrrrible the Junks are now. The rest of JFK is bad, too. I can not believe Arrington has a job with any kind of speaking dynamic. Is his nugget of fame greater than his complete inability to speak and form a coherent thought?
How many people are now listening to non-local radio? Are they factored into ratings?
The only reason I'm even vaguely interested in anything Junks related is because JP. Such a douche. I hope he gets as destroyed in his divorce. What do his kids think of the local-hooker girl friend?

I heard Kevin and Rock talking about the Nats, yesterday. Kevin was chiding Davy Johnson for not having Wilson Ramos bunt with no outs and a runner on second. Kevin was bitching that the runner needed to be in "scoring position" and 3rd. Now, keep in mind that 2nd is considered a scoring position, there were no outs and Ramos had a batting average of .267 last year. In other words, Kevin doesn't know shit. years ago JFk used to punt the weekends (I believe when Donnie G. was PD) and they concentrated on the weekdays. They need to consider that again. Pipe in National radio shows and have more actual sports on the air.

The ratings on the weekend are god awful. Much worse then the weekday numbers in the demo's they care about. And if you ever listened to Kevin and Rock or Mark Gray you would know why.

I remember not too long ago on Sunday nights WJFK would do their weekly wrap-up or whatever they called it. It was basically the "best of" their weekday line up condensed into 2 hour blocks. So they would take 25 hours of the Junkies and play (what they considered to be) the best 2 hours. They did the same for BOAD and TMOS. It was actually pretty cool.

You left out a ton of information. Baseball is much more situational and the average fan understands that. You left out the inning, score, who is on deck, who is pitching, etc.

The Ramos play was in the bottom of the 7th when the Nats were down 1 run. Ramos batting 8th, front of the pitchers spot (but the Nats would be pinch hitting at this point anyway).
Lead off double by Ankiel, Ramos fails in moving him over to third by grounding out to SS.
Chad Tracy strikes out as a pinch hitter and then Ian Desmond singles home Ankiel with the tying run with 2 outs. So in the end, it didn't cost the Nats, as even if Ramos moved Ankiel over to third by bunting, Tracy striking out leaves him at 3rd with still two outs.
Ramos has exactly *4* sacrifices in his career. Not sure he is the best of bunters. I think Davey had it right.

So, this is a little off topic, but LaVar made some even more moronic comment about the Space Shuttle event than EB's gaffe this morning. However, I am drawing a complete blank on what he actually said. Did anyone hear it and would be willing to post his comment? This would have been sometime between 4 and 5 o'clock today, probably close to 4:15.
