Yesterday there was a million crazy right wing republicans having their cross burning convention at West Springfield HS. It made me want to puke and not go into the high school, which shouldn't be used for these purposes. Disgusting.

I don't mind them having their convention or whatever in the school, but what I mind is all the signs they plant in front of the school when they are there. If you are going there for another purpose, you are confronted with all that and it makes it look like the school is endorsing those political opinions (because when I saw all of it, I had no idea there was a meeting like that going on in there). I think the meeting is fine, but don't allow all kinds of signs to be put up outside---it's like they are taking over the entire building.

If a church has its services inside, are they allowed to put up all kinds of signs outside? Just wondering.

I remember Fairfax Christian Church rented out the auditorium at Woodson when I went there. I will NEVER forget what happened to me on a Sunday when they were there and I was going to my locker to get a txtbook I had forgotten. Motherfucker came up to me AT MY OWN SCHOOL and told me to get out, that I couldnt be there.

First time in my life a church person EVER made me feel unwelcome. Still think about that when I pass their place on the FCP...............

Perhaps any students in the building at that time were a liability issue for them.
Especially if they had Sunday School classes going on - you can't just have strangers (even if they're students there) wandering around near all those children. I'd shrug it off and not take it personally.

Fascism falls on the far right of the political spectrum. Communism is the closest left-wing equivolent.

It was a liability, my student had to go for test prep, he felt very uncomfortable walking amongst them and when he got out of testing his car had a big dent in it (he has a new car with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker) and the car was not hit by another car it was dented probably with a fist. So in terms of extremes, the right is rabid at this point and out of control and dangerous, Big surprise there.They have always been dangerous when they don't get their way and with the first black President all their ugliness and violence is rampant and yes you are facists.

Its a lot more complicated than just left/right, from the wiki article:

The problem is trying to define political views along just 1 axis. Most of the newer models (political compass, Nolan, Slomp, etc.) use at least 2-axes, separating social and economic controls or similar.

That's why there's often similarity in far 'left' and 'right' wing countries with strong authoritarian controls.
