Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
It's free because no one in their right mind would pay to see Rick Springfield. Just the fact that your willing to drive to another state to see him is somewhat telling.

Right... Fairfax County is in _Virginia_. Rockville is in _Maryland_. Maybe Re-FUNd-my-dental is really Meade Skelton who fails to understand geography? Or perhaps ReDunDaNTAL fails to understand why a Maryland (I'm typing slow for you here so you can understand), a MAAAAARYLAND show event would not be appropriate in a forum titled "FAAAIRFAX" which is in VIRGINNIIAAAA?
I think it's pretty cool to post about events in the surrounding DC area... Some of us live closer to places like Rockville than to places like Centreville or Clifton.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I will not be going to the Rick Springfield show.
Ok, maybe I should just start posting Maryland events in the Fairfax forum instead of Off-Topic, maybe you are right and there is nothing the matter with it.

Go over to the river, it is that wet thing to the East, look accross it and what do you see?
Maryland
Now, jump in and try to swim across.
If Rockville maryland wants to give a free concert, many here may want to take advantage of it just like those Maryland people that will cross the river to Celebrate Fairfax to see the band "OK and Go."
I live in Annandale. For me, Rockville Town Center is much closer and easier to drive to than Herndon, Chantilly, Clifton and the rest. I can drive to the Kennedy Center in Washington DC in about 14 minutes on a weekend. It would take me twice as long to drive to the nearest Lowes at the same time.
I do see PWC posts pop up here every now and then. And to me PWC may as well be Austria.
That being said, maybe Fundamental should have titled the post "Great opportunity for FFXers who do not live in the boonies to hit on divorced soccer moms and see a free concert courtesy of the taxpayers of another State!"

Exactly. This forum has always been dominated by people from western FFX. That's not a bad thing, but it has added to the acceptance of non-ffx stuff like pw/leesburg/ashburn topics. I don't think it's wrong to post about events in other nearby counties. Alot of us live close to Arlington, Montgomery county, DC, Alexandria, etc. It should be treated no differently than the subject of Manassas or Sterling. People in NoVA/fairfax have daily ties to those places too.

I was being tacit on that point; it is a shame so many people missed it.

I got that point. I was saying you should have titled your post that way for the benefit of the people who did not get it.
