Fairfax County Junk Mail

Did anyone else get this little booklet in the mail today? It's from the county and entitled "Protecting Yourself From Disease Carrying Insects". It details the county's suggested methods to prevent Asian mosquitos and ticks.

It's a well-done little booklet production-wise, very professional looking. But I have to question why they'd send something like this to people living in Tysons. That seems like a big waste of money. How many people have been bitten by Lyme-infested ticks around Tysons lately? Seriously.

If they're gonna spend our taxes on producing such a publication, can't they at least mail it to outlying places where it might help?

This is just unnecesary junk mail for alot of us.

The County ought to put out a booklet on roofing.

In it, they could alert consumers to common scams involving roofing contractors.

They could also explain why the Taj Mahal needs a whole new roof after ONLY FIFTEEN YEARS!!!

Hell, the cheap shit shingles at Home depot last longer than that! (I know it's not the same type of roofing on the Taj, but still...)

Probably somebody's fucking brother-in-law in the roofing business got the job..

They sent it to all you condo dwellers because they know some dumb ass tree hugger is going to visit a park and get bit by an insect. Then they will be crying foul and suing the county because they were not properly informed and the county didn't tell them that they could encounter disease carrying insects if they left the comfort of their air conditioned condo to go play with nature. So the county is actually saving millions of dollars by spending 22 cents on postage to send you a 78 cent pamphlet.

There are zero facts within your post Richard. None. Every single sentence is misinformation. The numbers you quote, the ideas you insinuate- all of it is incorrect.

Anything else?
