Stop the supervisors from raising the real estate tax rate from 89 cents
to 92 cents!
_If real estate taxes had increased only as fast as inflation since 2000,
the rate would be 60 cents._ (http://www.fcta. org/)

You're an idiot. Assessments are down from last year. If anything, you will still be paying less taxes this year even with the increase. Find something better to do with your time, loser.

Not for everyone they're not - many of us ended up with the same assessment but the numbers juggled

We'll end up paying more - as well as funding this dumb-a** stimulus package - "Sh*t, the economy is in free-fall, oh, I know, lets increase the national debt so johnny can buy a new Chinese flat panel from Best Buy"

At least the property tax stays in FFX rather than being stolen by Richmond to fund build new roads for Cletus and family

sadly, thats the best the Bush debt team could come up with.....get used to higher taxes as Bush has nearly doubled the national debt in 8 years. "Borrow and spend" Pub economic policies don't work. Our tax dollars now go to China/Japan to cover the interest on the triliion$$$$ in Bush debt.

Police don't work for free. Great schools come with a cost.

I actually don't mind paying local taxes. At least you get something for them, schools, parks, cops, etc.

What really burns my ass is the $3800 I send the IRS EVERY 3 MONTHS. Money thrown down the Federal rathole. Money spent to hassle me at the airport, to bail out Wall Street thieves, to murder Iraqi civilians...the list is endless.

WashingToneLocian assesments are not down from last year. Even if they stayed exactly the same you lost money. The value of homes dropped and the assesments did not. How does that equate to your taxes being down?

BTW not everyone can live in their moms basement loser.

I hear that Jerry Connelly is leading a counter protest in favor of more taxes.
