Private Security & Law-Enforcement are two different ball games. If you want to pursue a career in the Security Industry, go right ahead. However, if your goal is to become a Police Officer, then pursue that. I went toward Private Security because it appealed more to my personality/character.

Qualifications:
Associate or higher degree in law enforcement, public administration or related field. Prior law enforcement or military experience. Current law enforcement officer certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Professional working proficiency, or higher, in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Korean, and/or Vietnamese.
