Yea but what about it?

You can find the fitness requirements on their web page and what the test will consist of if you get that far. The only thing youre assured of is being able to take the initial test. If you do get that far dont let testing day be the first time youve done that particular test.

With standards right now you will not have been able to do anything back in your past and a lot of the departments are mostly looking for women at the moment.

For the poly be honest. If you lie youre done. Depending on how many theyre hiring theyll poly twice the number of what they want with the expectation that a good chunk will fail that part.

You gotta be more specific with what exactly youre asking for here though

None of the Sheriff's departments are going to hire you unless you have experience or military background, or have excellent references. Working armed security will help you get your foot in the door.

Start trying to work for PG police. After a few years there you will have the experience of a Somalian warlord on how to deal with people.

Private Security & Law-Enforcement are two different ball games. If you want to pursue a career in the Security Industry, go right ahead. However, if your goal is to become a Police Officer, then pursue that. I went toward Private Security because it appealed more to my personality/character.

Associate or higher degree in law enforcement, public administration or related field. Prior law enforcement or military experience. Current law enforcement officer certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Professional working proficiency, or higher, in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Korean, and/or Vietnamese.

I now live in PW County and I've had no problems with them. I was told by some Spanish people that they get pulled over for being Spanish, but in reality they just drive very fast. My wife is a Pacific Islander with tan skin and they never pull her over, even when she drives thru a red light.
