I am kind of glad Newt and Santorum are not options.

Romney will take Va, and will most likely get more than the 50 percent necessary to get all of the VA delegates.

Rubio who is not a natural born citizen and therefore ineligible?

Obama's trashed the Constitution. I guess Romney can continue if he's fortunate enough to get the nomination. Enjoy Obama Lite WashingTone-Locian. Romney = Obama

Umm, he was born in Miami, FL. Do you not consider that part of the United States?

"Senator Marco Rubio’s father was not a naturalized citizen when Marco was born in May 1971 per National Archives data. His father applied for naturalization in Sep 1975. Marco Rubio not constitutionally eligible to run for President or VP. Thus Marco’s father passed Cuban citizenship at birth to Marco Rubio under Cuban law, U.S. law, natural law, and international law. Being a dual citizen at birth, Marco Rubio is NOT a “natural born Citizen of the United States”.

U.S. Constitution Article II Section 1: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

U.S. Constitution’s 12th Amendment – last sentence: “But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”

First, Cuban law is irrelevent on US soil. Second, please define the term "natural born Citizen."

"Rubio who is not a natural born citizen and therefore ineligible?"

That would be hilarious if the DNC questions this as much as they do the Obama citizenship thing.

I never could understand the focus on that. There is so much more concrete policy decisions and statments of fact out there to cause me to not vote for Obozo.

Exactly, but this is what the DNC and the Obama administration love talking about. They hope this drags out even longer. The more they can deal with this nonsense, the less they have to deal with explaining their crappy handling of the economy.

Anyone born in the US is a natural born citizen it doesnt matter about their parents. Obamas father isnt a citizen. There would be no issues with Rubio running

Rubio was born in Miami. That makes him a natural-born citizen. Period. End of story.

As for whether Rubio should consider the VP slot--if I were any self-respecting Republican, I'd run as fast as I could from being on the ticket.

Anyone here old enough to remember the 1972 presidential campaign: Nixon versus McGovern? The Democratic primaries had some decent candidates (Hubert Humphrey, Ed Muskie), but also had some who could have competed with the likes of Herman Cain and Rick Perry. Remember George Wallace? Wilbur Mills (and the Fanne Fox, the Argentinian Firecracker)? Wayne Hays (and Elizabeth Ray)? Ted Kennedy (and Mary Jo Kopekne)? And "Unpledged," who in the primaries got 19,533 votes. That was more than Ted Kennedy, Vance Harke, or Patsy Mink.

So McGovern gets the nomination and selects as his VP Thomas Eagleton, who--it was then revealed--had received shock therapy. So McGovern tossed Eagleton overboard and selected Sargent Shriver (making the Kennedy connection). Nixon won in a landslide--60.7% of the vote. McGovern carried just Massachusetts (I guess Shriver did help!) and D.C.

Point is: The 1972 Democrats were doomed from the start. And--regardless of my political leanings--the 2012 Republicans are equally doomed. Rubio would be smart to stay as far away from this impending disaster as he can.

Christie Rubio in any order would have almost been assured a victory. Regardless of who wins in november it wont be a Mcgovern or Mondale blowout, its gonna be a close race barring a bad VP choice. Rubio is a guy with appeal who could be a game changer if he wanted to be. Fla is a key state in the election that he would help a lot in. I could see him doing it if Romney wins the nomination and saying thanks but no thanks if he doesnt

Well there is one way it could get ugly and that is if Paul runs as a 3rd party guy. But even then he has some die hard supporters on both sides and im not so sure it wouldnt hurt Obama almost as much as the GOP in that instance.

Besides being Hispanic, what exactly does Rubio bring to the table? I see him more of a Sarah Palin part 2.

I hate the idea of four more years of Obamas tax and spend entitlements but the Republican field is a poor choice. I understand Romney is rich but he must have gotten it by luck or inherited it because he doesnt seem all that bright.

That's nonsense. There are no such plans. That rumor has been dispelled by both Ron Paul and Rand Paul.

Turn off Fox News propaganda channel and find some real news.

---------------------------------------------------------

A vote for Romney, who will not beat Obama without Ron Paul's supporters, will ensure 4 more years of Obama.

No it means your a partisan hack if all you think Rubio is is Hispanic.

I like your attempted Sarah Palin joke, but once again you are clueless. Sarah Palin never said that, Tina Faye said it on SNL playing Palin.

He's actually extremely intelligent. He made the 2004 winter olympics the most profitable in history. NBC was originally slated to LOSE 300 million dollars. Then they hired Mitt Romney, and made lots of cash.

Rand Paul doesn't have enough experience yet. But in 2016 or 2020 I will certainly be donating to his presidential campaign. He's a more articulate version of his father with less baggage

His point is hes trying to influence the election because hes scared Romney could beat Obama. Same thing that happened in Michigan.
