Chop't is coming to NoVA

I was walking down Lynn St. earlier and noticed that the NY-based salad chain, Chop't, has decided to make a move across the Potomac by opening a store in Rosslyn. If you haven't been to the one in Chinatown, it's basically a big salad bar (over 60 items, and 25 types of dressing), where you call out your order, they put it together, and then zing it thru a machine that chops it all up. You can also have them serve the salad on fresh baked flat bread, etc. Great stuff. The one downtown gets really crowded, and I'm guessing it will be the same Rosslyn. That's a good thing, maybe they'll decided to open more locations across NoVA. It's an interesting concept and the food is real good-- I'm hoping it will catch on.

Sign on the door says they open next week.

You can get steak in your salad at Chop't. Right off the grill too, it looks real good.
