I once lived out in rural Centreville, VA. I watched, for the past 28 years; Fairfax County, VA, grow into a spread out version of NYC. LOL!

I recall, back in the day, Route 29 as a 2 lane highway. And now it is 4 - 6 lanes.

Time's have changed.

Hell, rout 28 was one lane north to south.

80's taxpayer is correct. It was a Red Barn restaurant. Across 29 from long time Embassy Car Wash. Present building still retains original Barn shape and there are several more like it around the beltway. They used to serve Tab as a fountain beverage and probably Fresca, too. See the TV advertisement.
