Cameras on streetlights in Westmore/Villa neighorbood

I was driving there my neighborhood today and i noticed they put up cameras on some of the streets. theyre like security cameras. like white ones with boxes. i was wondering if anyone knew why they were put up. theres one of Fairfax st and Holly st and i think one on Maple. I mean the court house is right next to it, why would they need to put them up?

Hmmm that neighborhood isnt that bad. i know they have cameras in culmore ect ect but they have reasons for this. im wondering my self my ex girlfriend lives over there.
