I think this is a great idea, but here's the problem:
There are so many impatient, self-important, ungrateful motherfuckers living around here that merely having a status isn't going to placate these fucknuts. SOMEONE is not going to be satisfied with the "not plowed", "in progress", or "completed" categories and are going to bitch that they need to know EXACTLY WHEN it will be plowed. And Lord help VDOT if they list a street as "plowed" when it isn't, or if an adjoining neighborhood is plowed while one is not.
Like any large government agency, there is plenty of incompetence at VDOT, but this is a good idea. My hope is that if they get bitched at enough, they'd have the balls to take this system down and tell the public that since they're so ungrateful they can suck a dick and go back to not knowing anything.
