ShortChanging pay

I just heard that toys r us located on rt 7 has shortchanged it's employees of hours. They will tell you to come in early, you can't log in because the computer won't let you, they tell you they will take care of it and they don't. When you complain your supervisor won't back you up when asked by his boss giving you no recourse.
isn't it a shame a company like toys r us would hire managers that would screw their employees so to get bigger bonuses.

Don't buy toys from toys r us, make them show respect for their employees.
if they can do this, is abusing their female empolyees that far behind.

You are advocating a boycott based soley upon hearsay? Got some proof to share?

WTF does that mean? A company MAY have failed to pay their employees for all of the hours they worked so next the bosses are going to start harassing the female employees? Sorry, I don't see how the two are related.

This guy is a lawyer in the making. A pissed off employee I reckon. Give a few years and some polishing, he'll be suing Big Oil in no time. Keep up the good work son.

I don't doubt this goes on, as I witnessed similar behaviors from two major chains when I was making beer money in college. However trimming hours is a far cry from rounding up all the female employees for some good 'ole gang sodomy.

If employees have that happen to them, there are ways to pay back management. All it takes is identification of a couple of fire code violations, the FAX number of the fire marshal, and an anonymous detailed violation note FAXed from Kinko's.

I love how some people automatically believe the store ..

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/12/20/national/main533818.shtml

This 2002 case shows how Wal-Mart made hundreds of employees work off the clock.

http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/retail/2003-11-06-walmart-off-the-clock_x.htm

Here's one from Minnesota.

http://www.lieffcabraser.com/press_releases/wal-mart_press01.htm

Of course, more recently, we see how Circuit City fired its top-paid employees last year.

Naw, a chain retailer would never screw over their workers. Unpossible.

This is pretty much a spam email. "I have heard...." and then the word "boycott" without any specific allegations.

It reminds me of the "Target hates Viet Nam Vets" email that is still going around. Basically, what seems to have happened is someone showed up at a Target store and asked for a donation for a Veterans Group. Whoever they spoke said, politely I am sure, "those decisions are made at the corporate level, please call this number and they will be glad to help you".

So the moron goes out and sends a email saying "Target hates vets, boycott them".

This message says "dont buy toys from toys r us". Anytime an email asks for a specific action (wiping to top of soda cans because of rat feces, light a candle and stand outside your house so the space shuttle can take a picture of it for the news, and most importantly - forward this to everyone you know, the email is a hoax.

...sounds like a case of 'we told you to get here before your shift starts so you're on time' and the employee taking it for they should be paid from the time they walk in the door, although the time before they clock in is 'schmoozing'. ;)
