Urine Test

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I
pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In
order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test
with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the
distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I
have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no
problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other
hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing
drugs, while I work. . .. . Can you imagine how much money the state
would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance
check ? Pass this along if y ou agree or simply delete if you don't.
Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . Something has to change in
this country -- and soon!

How about this: it's an invasion of personal privacy, and no government or corporation should be allowed to require it.

True but what if one is recovering from a drug addiction and still "needs" to collect a wlfare check. TO be honest with you I think welfare is nothing but a legal scam. One can get a job sitting their pushing the same button all day and collect a pay check (toll road fine collecter for example). I think it should be cut out all together and the government would be much better off just providing simple , low skill jobs for the ones on welfare.

I don't know, man. I don't understand the mentality of getting upset that there might be a little bit of cosmic unfairness going on. I go to work, get paid handsomely, pay some percentage in taxes, live well and prosper. Some pathetic, drug addicted soul is living meagerly on foodstamps and wellfare, and not contributing anything positive. Somehow I'm going to find a way to resent him? If you ask me, that's the part about this country that needs to change.

I agree... we should let pilots fly drunk and let cops smoke crack before hitting the runways and streets. There is no value at all in testing people for drugs.
And why don't companies just accept liability for the actions of their employees while they are drunk or high? This country is so messed up.

Not to mention Detection time being up to a month for marijuana.

If you are high and some action you take while working for a company hurts a customer or coworker, the company cannot be held liable? WOO HOO! And I thought companies were liable for their actions!
