Tax Appeals Called Unnecessary
Posted by: Harry Beaver ()

Fairfax County officials said yesterday that property owners concerned about 2008 assessments showing a large increase in the value of their land and a decline in the value of their home do not need to appeal.

On Friday, the county announced that it would recalculate assessments where there have been wide fluctuations in allocations of value between homes and land. The Department of Tax Administration said it will automatically conduct the review and will notify property owners of changes.

The revisions are not expected to change the total assessment.

DTA also announced that it is extending to April 18 the deadline for property owners who want to file administrative appeals of assessed value.

I want a refund for all the extra school additions and other junk. Now they want to stivk us with another building in South County and Connelly used the word LEGACY for himself about that area. Hyland, Albo, and Davis also "demanded" that thing.

It's not too lat to stop it so people should send emails or do a petition.
