I am sure hateful comments are going to follow, so I will say it now. This is a shame. Although I disagree with this religion, we live in a country where freedom of religion is to be cherished, and I do hope these assholes are apprehended.

Why didn't they have armed security? It's a Mosque and a construction site.

In these times all Islamic schools, centers, Mosques, etc, should have several armed security personnel.

Whoever took part in this should sleep with one eye open. SHAME.

Make all these local churches, mosques, and synangouges pay for it amongst themselves. Religions want to war against each other, let them, as long as they all pay up.

No reason for normal taxpayers to foot this ridiculous quarrel on our dime.

That doesn't make sense at all. The damage was caused by individuals, not religion.

it's very unlikely that the mosque was targeted for any reason other than religious belief.

OK... this church in a rural all white community in Pennsylvania was similarly vandalized last month. Was it a bunch of drunken young punks or was this church also targeted because of religious belief?

Such a mouth-breather attitude leads me to believe the poster isn't very smart or sophisticated and is probably in a tax bracket where he actually doesn't pay taxes. He probably isn't a home owner and doesn't pay those taxes either... "our dime" for him is notional, it isn't really his money.

Obviously insurance will pay for it, no organization raises money to build something expensive and then doesn't insure it. But if I am wrong and they decided to "self-insure" then obviously they will pay it... I don't get why people think any tax dollars would make their way into paying for those repairs.

i dont stand behind this kind of behavior but i dont believe that muslims should be allowed in this country or allowed to practice there religion here. In the constitution it states that there is a seperation of church and state. The muslim religion is exactly the opposite. The muslim religion also acts as their government meaning they have there own set of laws. Oh and they also believe that anyone that is not islam should be killed. wtf?

Our Constitution guarantees the separation of church and state,
Islam is both a religion and a set of laws -- Sharia laws. That's the difference between any one of our traditional religions where it's just about religious purposes.

You are dumb as hell. Nowhere does the Constitution say shit about separation of church and state:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separation_of_church_and_state#United_States - "The phrase was quoted by the United States Supreme Court first in 1878, and then in a series of cases starting in 1947.[8] The phrase "separation of church and state" itself does not appear in the United States Constitution."

While it's a concept I entirely agree with, I do know the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and you're an ignorant little bitch for just about everything you posted.

The exact phrase in the judicial files is not "separation of church and state."

It says "separation of church FROM state."

So the intent of the clause was to keep the "state" from enacting a religion.

But in that literal context, this does NOT also mean separation of state from church.

Unfortunately, the latter is the common understanding.

For example, the Founders would be highly critical of the modern treatment of political speech in churches. If a priest wants to recommend a candidate to his congregation, the IRS will pull the tax-exempt status of his church. The Founders would have encouraged the priest and the congregation in becoming politically active. (The Founders also would have been very critical of the IRS.)

BY THE WAY, that Ibrahim Hooper guy will someday be on the front page after shooting up something and killing dozens, like his buddy Major Nidal Hasan did.
Hooper is WAY extreme.

Talk about fuckin change? how bout we stop listening running our country the way some stupid ass people in the 1800's intended. the world has changed and some policies obviously need too for the best interest of our country. Good to see everybody was paying attention in civics class.... I'll pay $1000 to anybody that can show me where in the constitution "separation of church and state" appears... It doesn't, that saying was taken from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote and has no legal relevance to our form of government....

A lot of the haters here, don't realize that Ahmadi/Ahmadiyya Muslims are DIFFERENT. They are NOT Sunni Muslims. They are NOT Shia Musims. They are NOT Wahabbi Muslims. They believe their founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, was THE PROMISED MESSIAH (fulfilling the second coming of Jesus) As far fetched as that they may sound to any of you, that should tell you, right there, they believe in PEACE (for they believe in "rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar's and rendering unto God what is God's), as Jesus didn't seek to overthrow the Romans with war or violence, but rather by way of beautiful preaching and example; he sought to conquer hearts and minds. So that right there is the ENTIRE PHILOSOPHY of the Ahmadiyya Muslims.

So know they are called Ahmadiyya/Ahmadi Muslims for a reason because they have distinguishing beliefs from even the mainstream Muslims. I promise you their interpretation of Islam is ACTUALLY PEACEFUL. Did you know they are oldest Muslims organization in America? Did you know their FOUNDER (the founer of the Ahmadiyya Movement) REJECTED VIOLENT JIHAD?

ALL Ahmadi Muslims believe their 'jihad,' (struggle) their main and primary jihad forever now is the 'jihad of the PEN' (intellectual discourse, and no, not jihad of violence, war, and aggression). They are TAUGHT to REJECT IT. That's what makes them SO DIFFERENT from OTHER Muslims, so much so, they are EVEN persucuted, massacred, and declared by some Muslim governments around the world to be non-Muslims. So that should in it of itself should tell you how much Ahmadi Muslims believe in freedom of religion for all! They totally REJECT the idea that Islam calls for death for blasphmey or death for apostasy, stoning sentences, etc.

So regarding the name Ahmadiyya’ the founder of Ahmadiyya himself stated, “it has been considered appropriate that the name of this party should be Ahmadiyya, so that everyone hearing this name should realize that this party has come into being for the spread of peace and security and that it would have NOTHING TO DO WITH WAR AND FIGHTING."

I say all this as an American Muslim of the Ahmadiyya party and someone that will probably go to the Chantilly mosque in the future, as I'm a Fairfax resident (born and raised in Fairfax). My dad was a Vietnam Vet. He served honorably. I served in the US Armed Forces as well. And guess what the members of the Ahmadiyya Movmenet are PROUD of their youth that serve in the military, for we regard being loyal to the country that we live in, that gives us freedom of religion, to be one of the cornerstones of our faith. Don't believe me? See: http://www.mkausa.org/Recognition/MKA-USA-Military-Veterans display Ahmadi Muslim vets.

"Our “Muslims for Loyalty” campaign intends to peacefully but forcefully convey to Americans that all such messages which encourage disloyalty to, or terrorism against, America contradict the teachings of Islam, the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad. (Naseem Mahdi, ational Vice President and Missionary Incharge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA - the oldest Muslim Organizati¬on in the US)
Why We Launched a 'Muslims for Loyalty' Campaign This Week In the United States
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/01/13/launched-muslims-loyalty-campaign-week-united-states/

So I've hope I've convinced a few, that Americans have absolutely nothing to fear from the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, wherever they may be. So as much as you may disagree with Islam as a religion, at least know the Ahmadiyya interpretation doesn't preach hatred and violence.

I recently had a newborn daughter, and one day hope to take her to that mosque, but never to learn about radicalism, but to learn lessons about love and humanitarianism!

Still, seems a shame since there is no evidence there is any terrorism involved , that something like this would happen to people wanting to worship, as crazy and delusional as religion is.
They just do it to feel better about life and impending death, just as some would drink some booze or chew some Kat. No reason to bust them up, as long as they behave.

What is happening to mosques now in the United States, is what has happened to synagogues for centuries. Judaism was once the second largest religion in the United States, and it was the religion of immigrants. Now Islam is the second largest religion in the United States, and it is the religion of immigrants. Zenophobia is very powerful against those who are the latest.

Vandalism is common in third world specially in dangerous and lawless countries and many low class and dangerous elements supports such actions sometimes t even authorities and governments support it. In Pakistan Ahmadiyya mosques were desecrated just like this in Chantilly in Fairfax. They are very nasty anti- Ahmadiyya people and they have no regard for anyone then they moved on to destroy other sects and religion places of worship and they were not punished to set up an example for others means no justice. Currently everything went out of control and now things are completely out of control. Very often Ahmadiyya, Shea mosques and Christian churches were burned and no one stopped them as they had backing and support from authorities of criminals and nasty people. Currently Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Sirilanka and Egypt and many other Arab and Muslim countries has terrorist attacked Ahmadiyya people and their places of worship. May be this trend is also starting in America but I am sure in this country they do take care of the problem which could destroy the community. People don't know Ahmdiyya people are follower of the Mahdi same as Muslim Messiah whose motto is " LOVE FOR ALL HATRED FOR NONE'. Because of Ahmadiyya communities most peaceful and love for mankind all Christian countries they are most respected and they are given permissions to establish mosques. Ahmadiyya are well known as most peaceful community on the EARTH. Why not? They follow the Messiah whose second advent has already fulfilled for Christians and Muslims. He gave same teachings that were taught by Jesus. If someone slap on your right then offer the left also. Ahmadiyya’s are told not to defend them against cruelty but pray for them. True Christians or true Muslims who follow any of the two Messiahs should offer other cheek. I humbly suggest that you must go for few minutes and check www. Alislam.Org and see for yourself, wherever the Ahmadiyya’s are that place shines with love and harmony
Once injustice and protection is gone then every other person lose their freedom also this is how a country is destroyed and this is how you lose your own freedom

Well for those of you -in the minority -who call a crime a crime,I applaud you.
For the majority who posted racist hatred ,wake up. For those of you who claim to be Constitutional scholars get in line. The vandalization of any property is a crime. That it is a place of religious worship makes it another crime.
That it is justified by what religon it is is illogical.
Very few oppose the White House Christmas tree and why should they? Laws to protect religious freedom protect all religions and were a basic freedom which has defined America since it's inception. Many have fled persecution worldwide to escape such abuse. Let's not let corporate/political and entertainment brainwashers create another boogeyman for us to automatically hate and let's not as a nation try to impose our will on others by force .This will go a long way towards reducing the ammount of revenge based hate that exists toward us.
For adults that want to sling hurtful race-based insults on all sides, there probably isn't much hope for them. Logical appeals can not work in the absence of logic or intelligence.

I've posted several messages in these related threads, and here's a synopsis.

1. Vandals are criminals and even if you hate the victims, this should not be tolerated. Two wrongs do not make a right.

2. "Muslim" advocate says that they are against the crazy jihadists and would fight them, if there were in fact such a thing as bad Muslims.

3. I point to a bunch of well-documented fact-based examples of crazy jihadist terrorist mosques and schools in Fairfax, with direct ties to al-Qudea, 9/11, etc.

4. Response: "Oh you're just a stupid hater", and "That's all just JEW talk!"

5. Muslim advocate continues to advocate for Islam as a religion of peace, never mentions their initial claim of opposing bad guys.

6. Muslim advocate clarifies that they are not, in the eyes of 99.99% of the Muslims in the world, actually Musilm. Rather, they are following their own cult/sect which takes something from the Koran, but isn't recognizably Islam. True Muslims would stone them to death and then decapitate them in a second. Their crime against Islam is actually far worse than being an infidel.

7. Well, good for you, I guess, but that doesn't seem to have much to do with Islam and thank you for playing our game.

7. More comments that fact bearers are "haters".
