Head Shop w/ Cleansers

I don't know this area at all. Does anyone know of a place that sells cleansers within about 45 minutes of Woodbridge, VA?

they have alot of accessories

all you need is a cleaner? you mean 420 solution? ive never made a special trip just for a cleaner its just not worth it

maria, those cleansers are just rock salt and isopropyl alcohol. Don't waste your money on formula 420... just go to giant and get the parts to make your own.

I think he means the "detox flush" drinks that cleanse your system instead of the pipe cleaning solutions you guys are talking about.

Go into any GNC and buy some Q-Carbo. Vitamin World also carries similar items. Expect to pay $50.

LOL... Yep Kosher Salt and Isopropyl rubbing alchohol it works so well its scary.
Now I know who the real "heads" are on this board.

Also in a pinch uncooked rice and rubbing alcohol works good too..but its hard to get all the rice out of the bong..lol

I know the salt is an abrasive, but how does the salt contribute to the solution. Can someone explain the chemisty behind it?


Oh Cleansers...LOL like detox drinks, boy did we all expose ourselves. lol.

Those dont really work well anyhow, just quit smoking for awhile. Its called self control. And if its for a job, Why the hell are you smoking if you dont have a job? ;-)

The salt acts as an abrasive, the alcohol as a polar solvent
Salt is not very soluble in ethanol.
Therefore does not dissolve, and its only purpose is to act as an abrasive.
Alcohol acts as a solvent, that will evaporate cleanly.

If your very cheap, you can use rice and hot water, but gotta put in a little bit of elbow grease.

Remember borosilicate glass is also used in scientific labs, is very stable, and tolerates somewhat rapid temperature changes, and various 'harsh' chemicals.

Careful with lye, it has a tendency to etch glass, and after repeated use will most likely crack.
