I know a lot of people who were personally affected by his passing, including one of my best friends.
From what I've heard, Carlos was a very nice guy. He has a father, a mother, a sister, a niece and a brother-in-law who all miss him very much. He was a normal kid, who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time....He was actually in the car accident ON new years day at 1 in the morning. He didn't have his seatbelt on in the middle of the backseat and went into the windshield. The two girls in the front were drunk, and dragged his body about 30 ft. from the accident instead of calling the police & ran from the scene. Lord forbid anything happens to anyone y'all love. Put yourself in the families shoes; if your brother had just passed, how would you feel if his picture was plastered all over the internet and people made fun of his haircut, facial features, ethnicity and passing? Heartless assholes, one day you will get the ultimate judgement, and Carlos will be there to laugh in your faces.

we've all done something stupid in our lives and had close-calls, and looked back while thinking "wow i'm really lucky i made it through that". well unfortunately for Carlos, his luck and time ran out. he's no more "stupid" than any of us. his few minutes of carelessness and misguided trust in his friends collided with fate. it's sad that his 5 minutes of carelessness cost him his life. RIP.
also this kind of accident thankfully happens a lot less than it did in the 80's. don't get in the car with someone who's drunk! just don't do it! and if youre going to drive intoxicated, drive slow and don't take anyone else home besides yourself.
