land history in Fairfax Station

I am a native to Northern Virginia and I do historical, paranormal, investigations and research on buildings and land in our area. I am trying to find out background history of the land located just past Burke Lake and before Lorton area around Rte. 123. prior to 1986 and as far back as we can go. Does anyone know the old history of the land there or how I could find out about it, preferably over the internet if it is possible.
