helicopter over 29/stone rd 1.6.12

I just heard a fairfax cop drive down paddington with loud speaker on and now a helicopter circling over this area for past 20 minutes. Anyone know what is going on?

we live off Paddington and Gothwaite as well and was wondering the same thing....helicopter has been circling for some time now.

We've been wondering it as well. We're just down from the "Rescue Squad", so we heard all hell break loose siren-wise...

scanner talk says there is a house they are targeting, they are waiting for clearance to go in. Don't know if it is in our neighborhood or in London Towne West. Here is the link to listen to the Fairfax County Police Department scanner radio live online....

sounds like a domestic dispute, they just mentioned getting six kids out of the basement and out front to the police, to which another police officer responded they already have some kids out front. Hope these aren't kids from our elementary school having to experience this BS on a Friday night. Drugs or domestic dispute/violence? Who knows....

When you hear helicopters, rescue vehicles, sirens and so on; stay out of it. Do NOT be nosey. Stay indoors and let the police and rescue-squad do their jobs. However, if you witness a crime; report it immediatelly by dialing 911.

Be safe and use common sense.
