Huge (!) Shooting Star Just Now

I was just outside and saw a huge yellow / orange shooting star in the SW sky at maybe 70 or 80 degrees above the horizon. I have never seen a streak that long! Keep your eyes peeled guys.

i don't live in Fairfax anymore, but im in Alabama and i saw it too. i was wondering if it could be a piece of the Russian satellite falling earlier than Jan. 14-15th as expected.
