So a few home in my area seem to be vacant, a couple even have notices from the Sheriff's Dept. on the doors.
Want to know about the subprime market in a simplified format? Here is how most of your neighbors (since 2000) "bought" their homes.
I remember a report saying that "Zero-down" was something like two or three percent of the loans in this area (VA). a few years later, over 40% were sold as interest only loans! The numbers for DC and Maryland were reported as higher!
At that time, I thought wow, in a decade, it would be a great time to buy a foreclosed home. I guess it won't take that long!
