Ffx County Police Motorcade w/Santa?

A Ffx County police officer on a motorcycle stopped traffic at an intersection on Stringfellow Rd in Chantilly this morning.

I thought it was a funeral procession, but it ended up being a motorcade of other officers with Santa in one car waving "hi", Mrs. Claus in another car waving "hi", and an elf who didn't wave at all.

I waved back. :)

Just wondering what the mini-motorcade was about.... anyone?

Going around to pick up all the presents and toys that various people have donated to poor kids. The police "escort" Santa around a few of the complexes that the county runs (Government Center, Police HQ and other facilities) to pick up the boxes of toys that were donated. Its a nice thing they do each year for poor kids.

Im almost sure someone will post something negative about helping poor kids. If they do then a jolly FU to you sir. Rest assured, I won't be reading it.
