Vienna is the same town that has it's Halloween parade on a Wednesday night during rush hour and thinks its ok to shut down Rte 123. Vienna is your typical - we're better than you town. It's the same town who's council tried to block development around Vienna Metro, because of "traffic concerns". I bunch of small town - no bodies.

Yes, it is an annual event and yes, its retarded that they close Church street (and 123 for the Halloween parade for that matter). That said, it was posted all over the place, including a big traffic sign on church street for weeks saying when it would be closed. If you forgot or were too involved playing with your ipad instead of paying attention I have no sympathy for you.

And, no, I don't live in Vienna, but knew enough to avoid that area last night.

It's only been going on annually for about the past 45 years or so. Please move back to wherever it is you came from.

Look stop being so sensitive - Vienna is a nice town, but's it's no better than the rest of us. I think the general premise of this thread is "why do it on a weeday when you can do it on a weekend" and why does Vienna piss on the rest of No Va.
