I REFUSE to support any retail chain opening at midnight or earlier on Black Friday. Give the associates some time to eat Thanksgiving and energize for the start of a busy holiday season. Not to complain or anything but retail will chew you up and make you it's bitch! Associates put up with a lot of shit and don't earn nearly as much as they should.

I agree....before long, the stores won't even close for Thanksgiving. I used to think that there was nothing I wanted or needed bad enough to get up and be in line at Walmart/Target/Best Buy at 6am....now you don't even need to get up early, you can just go after Thanksgiving dinner. I'm thankful I don't work retail!
This can be the cause of retail chains garnering more sales and revenue for their business. People dont have to go shop at midnight. Their people who choose to do so. Who has thanksgiving dinner at midnight anyways?
Because assholes feel the need to shop at midnight, these poor retail people making 8 bucks an hour need to work the graveyard shift ringing up a bunch Chinese made shit.

And I thought the idiots here were the tools standing in line at 2 am. Silly ole me.

Well, thank you for stating the obvious. But it seems you've missed my point of the general idiocy of shopping in the said 12 to 2 am timeframe. People like that clearly have nothing better to do with their lives other than shop for poorly constructed Chinese crapola that they don't need.

I'm staying home. I don't need any of that crap. Sleeping in is where it's at.

I'm the real H.I.D. If you question my identity, just hit the quote button on one of my posts and look for any of the "L" characters that have been replaced by the uppercase "I" character. That will tell you who the fake is.

You're correct, good sir. Some people have poor reading comprehension. Not going broke, you're not one of the "people" I was refering to. The "people" I'm speaking of are the ones that line up around stores and then once they open, proceed to bumrush the door. I'm always deeply disheartened about the state of humanity when I hear in the news about some poor fucker who gets trampled to death as a result of their rampant self centered greed.
That's a lot of work and effort to earn the privilege to spend hard-earned money. Half these morons are putting these purchases on credit cards that wont be paid off in full offsetting any savings with finance charges.

Agreed. I haven't seen lines like that since Russia was under full Communist control and people would stand in the lines just for a small loaf of bread. However, to stand in such a line for a "material" item is just so worthless. It's just a piece of technology that is going to age rapidly and in a period of 6 months to a year, be out-dated due to newer and cheaper items that come onto the market to replace it.

I did go out this morning and bought a bunch of new dress clothes. My total savings with the cut rate prices was close to $400 which basically meant that I got everything for about 60% off. Not bad. At 7am, Kohl's was about as busy as a normal Saturday afternoon and I waited a typical 5 minutes in the checkout line. And since I was wide awake at 6am anyway, it's not like I lost any sleep over it.
That is how you shop on Black Friday - get in after the late night loonies are done and before the normal people start getting out and about. It's a small window, probably around 6am to 8am, but you can accomplish a lot if you have a plan.

You do know, that less than two weeks, or even better, after Christmas, the deals are going to be even better. This shit is ridiculous but to each their own.

+1. Because that's when the stores have to liquidate stock.

The coolest thing is that I shopped on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and I had no problems at all. Then today, I woke-up early after a goodnight's rest, and chilled outside enjoying the great day we had. I didn't go out shopping until after 7:00PM, I managed to make it to the mall around 8:00PM (I stopped at some local shops first), and bought some good, quality items for 40% off, and I was out of the place by 9:30PM, then back home in time to catch my TV show. No hassle, and no waiting in line, gyeah.

It must be easy being a retailer on this day. All you have to do is mark down a few items, most of which you have maybe ten in stock and let the white trash, blacks and mexicans do the rest. They will kill each other over some stupid made in China piece of crap they didnt know existed a week ago.
Once you get them in the store you mark up related items like accesories to these pieces of junk and double the price of batteries.
